  1. that would be fine to get to the recovery console, as long as its an install disc and not a recovery disc.
  2. Dont think you will find anything, though I would suspect "resource hacking" (DLL and system file modifications) would be required and I doubt you want modified system files in your environment to accomodate your policy.
  3. Are you sure you have been to the control panel and moved the "pointer speed" slider in the mouse control panel?
  4. If you can grab yourself a windows xp cd, you could follow the posts on this link http://www.ozzu.com/mswindows-forum/window...dll-t53834.html but you need a xp cd for gaining access to the recovery console. You could try a bartPE disc and run the instructions from that link.
  5. sorry to hear your typing ability is restricted, dont know what I would do if I lost my typing ability. This might be a start....try dual booting windows xp and vista. This guide is probably going to be beneficial for you because you have vista installed first and trying to dual boot with vista installed first is usually a pain! http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_vista_a...ystep_guide.htm EDIT: are you sure this is right Intel Xeon 3110 3MHz Core2 Duo. - 3Mhz?!
  6. dont think this is what you are after but then again you didn't post massive amounts of information about your environment (domain or no domain?) http://ryanschwartz.net/2004/09/16/quickly...to-new-hardware this may also be of use to you. http://windowsxp.mvps.org/userpath.htm
  7. http://windowsitpro.com/article/articleid/...ty-manager.html .....is one possibility. Try google, if you still have this problem. If you fix this problem, report back so people know to skip past this post or take it's responses as worthy.
  8. On your profile image(avatar) what does the arrow pointing to the center say?
