  1. My last two builds are stalling on connecting to the network on setup. Has anyone had this?

Yea its gonna stall a little bit its building the desktop profile for the first time but it shouldn't be more then 30 sec to a min max. In testing i have notice if you remove QoS or LLTD it lags a more then a standard install but your networking will still work fine. Also notice when removing the HomeGroup Shell Package using DISM as well.

  2. Liquid, I'm starting to remove stuff one by one to try and work my way up to your Ultra settings to figure out what's making bluetooth not work. Go buy a keyboard so you have a reason to figure it out =D

My cell phone is bluet tooth i will see if i can help you figure it out later tonight.

  3. Does anyone know which package to remove to allow deletion of the files in the sources folder (manual setup)?

Even then vLite gives you a new file in that folder install_Windows 7 ULTIMATE.clg so I am sure you have to keep that at least (and of course the 2 WIM files)?

I got errors removing all those packages last time, but then I was using the dead0 bat file and its not for 7600.

If you only have to remove one package that allows those files in the sources folder to be removed, which package?

only things needed are install.wim boot.wim and setup.exe and remove Manual Install using vLite that's it and the setup.exe from the original image in the sources folder

  4. I noticed when using Jeronimo's preset that browsing via explorer opens a new window for every folder. Also what do I need to keep Media Centre working? I need it for my DVB-T stuff.

He needs to run this command using run or command prompt and reboot

    regsvr32 /s "%SystemRoot%\system32\ieproxy.dll"

  5. Hi folks I am new here and have been studying how to vLite succesfully. Everytime I make a build it always ends up with "Windows cannot be configured to run on this hardware.". I can even leave every driver and hardware support in there and I get the same error...I have even used the inis from here without modification AND included every driver I have from exporting them in DriverMax....Anyone have any suggestions?

Read the full topic and you will have some hints or you can clarify what you have already tried. For starters: keep Game Explorer, IE, Firewall, ICS and MDAC.

Thanks for the reply and the good work you do...I tried Win7elite64.ini on a 64-bit OS and using 7600.16385 as the base and still no cigar...if it helps I am compiling the build to run on a laptop...

Are their any specfic files that needed to be protected on a laptop...no matter how I customize the ini (even if no customization is done at all). The same error occurs from the above. Can anyone help? I am at my wits end about this

BTW I have protected the files listed above

Sounds to me like your laptop processor doesn't have 64 bit extensions but i dunno what kind it is and what hardware is in it. There is no real benefit running a 64 bit unless you have 4gb of RAM or more. If you have 2 GB of RAM you are much better going the 32 bit route

On the contray quite not...here are my specs

    Intel Core2Duo T9300 2.5

No one has any solution here?

I would make my own preset and skip on the service tweaks test in a virtual machine as well.

  6. BTHSERV, HIDSERV -- those are the two? I didn't see them listed in vLite anywhere. I did turn them back on once I was reinstalled, but it's still pooched. I think maybe UPNP needs to be on maybe?

Edit: Ehh looks like bluetooth needs QoS.

Was that all it need for those services to be re enabled and not to remove QoS?

  8. Any ideas on what was removed from Liquid's preset that would kill bluetooth? I also noticed the gadget icon still shows up in the context menu.

I disabled the blue tooth support service in both presets try re enabling it and it should be OK.

The gadgets icon on context menu will only disappear if you remove the Gadget Platform Package using DISM prior to removing it with vLite. :thumbup

  9. wer.dll

    msdrm.dll

    browcli.dll

    msoert2.dll

    winipsec.dll

    werconcpl.dll

    Magnification.dll

sorry but why it's necessary to "protect" these files?

    thank you

wer.dll (have to protect this file in order to remove the error reporting service)

msdrm.dll (have to protect this file in order to remove digital rights management)

browcli.dll (have to protect this file so net start/stop will work by command prompt)

msoert2.dll (protect this file only if you are going to use and install msn messenger)

winipsec.dll (have to protect this file in order to remove the ipsec policy agent service)

werconcpl.dll (protecting this file is only for cosmetic reasons not necessary whatsoever)

Magnification.dll (protect this file if you are keeping the Snipping Tool or it won't work at all)

  10. I don't integrate any language packs. Any ideas?

Like, put key in vLite - OK, at the very end SETTINGS, error

Please do not post cd keys here its not permitted and will get you banned :realmad:

  11. I updated my post post here with slightly different preset (Task scheduler poses no issues and now is removed) and some additional remarks. One remark is that on the dummy run of vLite, that you should not remove any components or it will provide an error and exit.

I've followed your guide and got an error about the product key. I've run all steps 3 times now, and it keeps giving the same error. Setup will loop if i pressd ok there. Maybe I do something wrong:

    - Run removal.bat

    - Run removal.bat packages in the newly opened window

    - Run vLite with the preset form your post

    - Run removal.bar cleanup (edited II to 1 because I rebuild it to 1 (Home Premium))

    - Run vLite dummy, creating the ISO

I don't integrate any language packs. Any ideas?

Don't enter a product key during setup do it afterwards the steps that u listed are correct

  12. There is a bit more stuff I would like to remove such as WinSxS but from what I've tried if it is removed installer wont work. I think someone would be extremely lucky to get it safely under 1.7gb and working.

My WIM size is 1.27gb, and the install size is 3.32gb compressed. 64bit Home Premium. :thumbup

  13. this app uses .net 4.0 for multithreading and parallelism.

Multi threading has been around since .NET 2.0 using the Background Worker object and Task Parallel Library is new to the .NET 4.0 framework but is something that doesn't have to be used but i could be wrong on this one. This program on the other hand is GREAT just having some issues with removing packages but the wim image rebuild and make a bootable ISO features work great. I have attached 2 logs of the exceptions that are being thrown and my preset as well. I am wondering what language this program is written in VB or C#? Hope these logs and preset help :) Will keep testing!!!

  14. Seem to be a problem whit ultra64.ini config and last RTM 7600 x64 ( only ultimate).A have ligthly modified the ini for the italian language and some small error.I have tested the iso in a virtualbox machine and at the end og the installation i have foun this problem.

    - Net config problem. When i set my parameter of my router manuly and i disable the dhcp.

    MSTD.exe not found

    - When i lunch Windows DVD maker

    Wmvcore.dll not found

I think that the problem is in the unavaiability of window media center. For the MSTD.exe i dont know.

So i want to rebuil a 7600 lited image whit elite.ini for evaluate the difference between the ini's.

    Bye

Yea the ultra preset removes a lot of stuff. Hopefully i will be uploading new preset shortly along with scripts for DISM package removal and misc file cleanup.

  15. This thread should be closed and deleted...
It's in the gray area, but I'm leaving the thread open. The build string is public as of yesterday, and discussions of such aren't warez. I'd caution folks from

discussion of torrents and the like, but otherwise, this seems OK.

Thank you cluberti u da man ;)

  16. And my mention of the final build string was a public press release by Microsoft them self. We are not posting links to illegal images or torrents of windows 7 or methods of bypassing activation so therefore we are in compliance of the MSFN rules and regulations.
