Hi everybody, at the moment i have a intel 915g board and p4 550j with 2x512mb 400mhz ddr2 memory dual-channel. and i'm thinking about a upgrade to 2gig of ram. i thought about 2x512mb 533mhz ddr2. this would be the appropriate config for dual-channel working: slot1 512 533mhz slot2 512 400mhz slot3 512 533mhz slot4 512 400mhz and my question is if slot 1 and 3 are running at 533mhz or at 400mhz because of the slower old memory in slot 2 and 4. I thought they would run slower, but someone said the only run slower if a dual-channel pair is mixed, which would not be the case in my config. THX for your response and sorry for my eventually bad english, cause i'm german. ps: for the few nosy people in here, i need the memory for hosting game servers in lan's, am some special games and applications, and i got some money because of my last holiday job, as truckdriver. Hi, a friend of mine had the following problem, the last time he checked his download-folder (the folder called "filme"on the screenshot) on his second hardisk (160gb hitachi). All folders and files in there had very strange names suddenly, as it can be seen in the attached screenshot, the size of the directory and the size shown in the folder is also different, should be about 15gb , the explorer says 135gb, and on the the screenshot, you see that he has 188gb, but the harddrive is only 153gb big, actually. All other folders work perfect, but this special "filme" folder with subfolders is corrupted, he can't edit, place, replace or delete any files inthere, He, is using win 2000 with the newest updates by the way. Is there any way to solve this problem, and to rescue the folder. After a restart, the folder disappeared, and instead there was only a file called filme with 32kb size, so he has no hope anymore for rescueing his movies But, do you know any reasons why such errors can appear. i experienced some problems with oo defrag workstation 4.5, but i don't know if it is a sp2 matter. but it always worked fine before Tested with the german sp2 final

as a german xp user you need to insert this in your batchfile as a german i had the same problem one time before, but you always need to write the groupname how it is written in your windows. i didn't think that it would be this little word when i had the same problem, but finally i read it somewhere in the web. the rest of your data lookes quite ok. unfortunally i dont have such a card i asked because, it is integrated in sp2 build 2138, which was officially released by microsoft, and i wasn't sure if this is a reason to switch from sp2 build 2096(rc1) to build 2138. Greetings, Erlkönig

Hi, I already built a unattended wxppro-disk, with integrated sp2 build 2096, and everything worked fine. A few days ago i found the sp2 build 2138 (i think it is the newest german build) and integrated it in a new copy my original wxpro, and took over my oemfolder and some other modifications to my new disk. But now i get always the error "failed to extract dll_.ini" when RunOnceEx installs applications like OO Defrag Professional or TuneUp Utilities 2004. I used the same switches, files like in my build 2096 disk, where everything worked fine. Does anyone know a solution for this problem or probably the reason of this stranfe error. Hi, i install my useraccount and autologon with cmdlines.txt and autologon.reg, shown here, [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "DefaultUserName"="name" "DefaultPassword"="password" "AutoAdminLogon"="1" my problem is that windows is loging in again when runonceex.cmd has restarted the pc, but i would like to have the logonscreen on the monitor when i come back to the pc, so i would like to delete the autologon after unattesnded setup has logged in the first time and while runonceex.cmd is installing. so my question is if it is possible to add a *.reg to my runonceex.cmd which deletes the autologin and any traces of my password. would this file here work? hi, what for a creative product do you have? i have a soundblaster live! 5.1 , and my drivers need only 4mb, and everything works perfect when i use them on my pc. so i think on your creative cd is a lot of unnecessary crap, go to creative.com and download the newest drivers for your product, extract the archiv or setup with winrar and look for a Win2K_XP(or similar) foder, there is everything what you need for a clean driver installation without any programms, tools and unnecessary crap. Hi, i already slipstreamed sp2rc1 on my xppro image and now im trying to slipstream the newest updates also.But I dont find (KB838904,KB838907,KB838909) them on microsoft.com , in spite of the fact that they are displayed on windows update. I also tried to access the windows update catalog, but i am getting all the time an error, which says that i am no admin, but i am one and i m logged in as one, when im trying to acess the catalog.
