  1. Mistakenly posted in Unattended. This is a repost- In Office 2003 I could rename Calendars but not in 2007. You can rename a group but rename for the actual calendar is greyed out. One of our admin assistants has multiple calendars and would like to rename them. No luck on Technet or other tubes Any help here? Maybe this is just not possible?
  2. Hello! This should've been in the Office section. Sorry about that. In Office 2003 I could rename Calendars but not in 2007. You can rename a group but rename for the actual calendar is greyed out. One of our admin assistants has multiple calendars and would like to rename them. No luck on Technet or other tubes Any help here? Maybe this is just not possible?
  3. Last week we cleaned up an email enabled security group, removing all individuals and adding various groups. Today all the individuals are back in the ACL (as well as the groups). I haven't had luck searching so I'm hoping someone here knows what would cause this. A couple points.... I found a link off msfn discussing how a distribution group can turn into a security group if added to a public folder access list. I do not know if this group was first created as a dist group. This does not appear to have been a query based group though my understanding is "query based" is only relevant for distribution groups. Three admins here and no one made the change. (??) There are no scripts running in the background that I know of. We have a blackberry server and a goodlink server. Exchange 2003 AD 2003 native - single domain Thanks for the help everyone!
  4. I struggled with Detals view too. Use this in your cmdlines.txt which runs at T-12. Detail view will be enabled for all users. Look here for more help with importing settings for all users. Thanks to everyone. ;Detail mode in all folder [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams] "Settings"=hex:09,00,00,00,04,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,77,7e,13,73,35,cf,11,ae,\ 69,08,00,2b,2e,12,62,04,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,43,00,00,00
  5. Best advice is just to do alot of reading. I spent hours just going over the registry tweaks. This site and the links in it can do wonders for your unattended installs. As an example, you asked about SP1a. Basically the only difference is the lack of msjava in SP1a but there are whole topics devoted to that subject. I currently use cmdlines.txt and a log on batch to install updates and apps but next I am going to learn to use RunonceEx which has a cleaner look. Look here for more help nJoy!
  6. Interesting post pinout. Works as you described. Thanks
  7. Keep working at it guys. That'd be a great unattended install.
  8. Hello. Read up on installing in cached exchange mode (CEM) CEM is required for some features such as the Outlook spam filter to function. Use the Custom Installation Wizard (CIW) in the ORK. This will create a transform for you. The wizard gives you a command line at the end that you can use in a script to launch Office setup with no user interaction. You can specify what apps to install, etc.. in the wizard. Search MSFN and the web for more help as there is alot of information on this subject. My guess is that you can use the Profile Wizard (in ORK) to configure a default profile so users can set up their profile easily.
  9. I've seen some great posts and learned quite a bit already. Glad to be here.
