  3. my nlite does not have that file. and it made the iso file
  4. Did not know how to upload all 3 pics on one post. I think the problem is the oem cd is not normal. ie nlite has trouble with it Using nLite ver 1.4.5beta2 running on Vista Home Premium When I run nLite, first screen says welcome to nlite next next window is....locating the windows installation i click on browse select the drive that the oem system builder vrmopk_en is located click on ok and i get an error the pop up window says..information... Make sure that the selected folder or drive containsthe i386 or amd64 directory and proper windows installation files nLite is for a pre install environment only,,,,,,baa bla bla this is where i think the problem lies. n1.bmp
  5. Here are some screen shots of WE Note: 1. The size of the i386 folders 2. files under main directory 3. when I run setup, I get different screens
  6. What do you mean 12inch in front of the monitor? Do you mean there is someone hiding behind me? I am almost blind so I sit 3inch in front of the monitor. Darn, now I will be paranoid, someone lurking behind me, Just teasing, just teasing. I can understand his frustration. I am in the same boat. BTW, thanks for the program nLite.
  7. What is a "re installition" Disk? Never heard of that! blink.gif But dosent matter, because its works for /by you! ph34r.gif --------------------------------------------------------------- That re installition (installation) ....was a test word to see what type of poster you were, ie trying to help me or just looking for cheap shots. ( when one misspells a word, this forum underlines it in red so I knew what I was typing) You failed! I could lower my self and do the same ie what is DOSENT matter, but I will not. ======================= You say>>>You copying your source from cd with nlite on your harddrive? 1. As you read in my post>>> nLite will not go that far>> I posted>> finding the windows installation Browse I click on the drive where the cd is located and it gives me an error "information" make sure that the selected folder or drive contains the i386 or amd64 directory and proper windows install files nLite is for a pre install enviroment ....................................................................... if I select the drive that contains the HP cd, it works fine. no problem there so I think nlite does not like the system builder oem cd. ------------------------------------------------- 2. Also note that it works fine for the other 2 CDs. so why all the chatter with the OEM system builder cd? Why won't nLite work with it?, ie recognize the cd in the drive. It will recognize the HP or Dell cds. Yes, I did change drives, tried the OEM cd in the other drive. =========================== You got me lost in this: I need step by step, not just a general instruction. You say>>>Then try doing this manually (make sure you see hidden files). Is your source on HDD try again to slipstream your SP3. ------------------------- Thank you for your effort but am still not able to slipstream this one. Again note that I have slipstreamed the two other CDs, so nLite is running properly and no operator error.
  8. I am trying to have a XP cd with sp3 in it. Is that not called slipstreaming? combining sp3 into the win xp sp2? I have different CDs 1. HP re installition win xp sp2 cd 2. OEM system builder win xp sp2 cd, VRMOP-EN 3. Dell re installation win xp sp2 cd I am trying to make the above cds so they have sp3 I run nLite and can create an ISO file , ie slipstream sp3, for the dell and hp cds. It will not work for the system builder OEM cd Yes, I Know I can't put the sp3 into the cd itself. I make an ISO file and then burn it. The problem is that Nlite will not recognize the oem system builder cd. When I run the nLIte program finding the windows installation Browse I click on the drive where the cd is located and it gives me an error "information" make sure that the selected folder or drive contains the i386 or amd64 directory and proper windows install files nLite is for a pre install enviroment ....................................................................... if I select the drive that contains the HP cd, it works fine. no problem there so I think nlite does not like the system builder oem cd. It does contain the I386 folder/directory. All 3 contain it. Is it that the oem system builder cd is different, ie not have the windows install files that nlite is looking for? Yet My question is how do i make an iso file with nlite containing the win xp on the oem system builder cd VRMOPK-EN tia
  9. How do i go about to slipstream a win oem system builder cd xp using nlite? I cud slipstream a hp win xp re installation cd. so I know I am doing something right tia
