  1. I'm glad it now works for you. Yes when the current BETA version finally releases as stable, I will keep both v2.50 and v4.80 in a All-In-One bundle package download live and supported for a limited time (I haven't decided yet how long to support), as I will be phasing out the .ulz files since the BETA version no longer supports installing the update lists that way.
  2. Yep I decided to update WUD as it just wasn't compatible with MS's new WU servers. As to your two questions, 1) Are you sure you didn't change the download folder before installing the new version of WUD? Uninstall WUD and then reinstall v2.50 and then after v4.80 without changing the download folder. 2) Unfortunately due to the changes made to the new version of WUD, the change download folder option can no longer be changed and is completely removed in the BETA version going forward.
  3. Which version of WUD are you using, is it the Legacy version or the current Stable version? If it's the former, then you will need to install the new stable version I released last week. Or you can test the BETA version that's currently available here
  4. I know this reply is extremely late as the last post was in 2017, but I think it's important to know what those three buttons do. So I will explain below:- The first left button with the Plus icon This used to direct the user to the WUD website to download the latest update lists (.ulz). Since the website is no longer available, you will receive a error message. This has been fixed. The second middle button This is to refresh the Update Lists And finally, the third right button This will display a grid menu with all Update List(s) currently installed. With option to remove any of the Update Lists.
  5. Windows Updates Downloader Bundle and Windows Updates Downloader v6.0 (64-bit) Last Updated: August 14th, 2026 This is a small program created by jcarle that I have decided to update and maintain that allows you to download and install* all of the current Windows critical updates and programs. All updates are downloaded directly from Microsoft's new CDN servers to your computer with a single mouse click. I will be keeping this program up to date and removing bugs. Feedback is appreciated. For v4.80.1007.0 (Stable) you MUST have .NET Framework 4.8 installed for WUD to function, and also requires a x64 version of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 or above. For v2.50.1002.0 (Legacy) you MUST have .NET Framework 3.5 installed for WUD to function. *This is a optional feature but only available in v4.80 and above. Windows Updates Downloader Bundle** Download: WUDBundleSetup.exe - Changelog: Here Both v2.50.1002.0 and v4.80.1007.0 are included in this All-In-One Bundle! Update Lists (.ulz) will only work with v4.80.1007.0. v2.50.1002.0 might be able to download one or two updates, but most will crash this version of WUD so it's recommended to use v4.80! **Please Note - Both versions in the bundle package will no longer be supported after January 12th 2027, this will also affect the .ulz files as well. Both the bundle and .ulz downloads will be removed on February 5th 2027! Windows Updates Downloader v6.0 (64-bit) Download: WUD600B1130Setup-x64.exe - Changelog: Here - SHA-1: D06068F13ADF2E2959279D57DA3C60FC4352D241 Please Note - All previous versions of WUD v4.80 or below will need to be uninstalled before you install this version! You can upgrade from the Pre-Release builds (BETA/RC) so you will not be required to uninstall. Update Lists for Windows Updates Downloader v6.0 Download: WUDUL600Setup-x64.exe - SHA-1: 786FFB9CF32BFF0C5FFE00343A410A4870046CCE Update Lists will require Windows Updates Downloader v6.0 to be installed first.
  6. Agreed, reminds me of updating the Windows XP and 7 update lists back in the day for both this forum and JCarle's WUD website as he shared a exe file to enable me to upload the update lists to his website. Sad that he's no longer active on this forum and that his website is no longer available, but nothing lasts forever unfortunately.
  7. I think there's maybe a few more members on MSFN that do still dl the ulz's, but yes it's not as high numbers like back in the day. And I also provide the update lists on the My Digital Life forum site, and there is more members that do dl them too. So good news I'm not stopping anytime soon. I understand if you're into hardware more than software, I like both and can assemble my own PC though not recently due to the high costs of components especially memory and storage. I have managed with the use of a extension installed in VS2022, to convert the code from C# to VB.NET, but I will be able to resume programming when the GitHub copilot limits reset on the 1st July, as I'm on the free tier. So it could be next month when the Beta version is released but that's not a guarantee.
  8. Yes I had a change of heart after your post. Currently working on updating WUD so that it can download the huge updates that MS releases, but having to rely on GitHub Copilot in VS 2022 as I don't have a lot of experience in programming C#. Once a build has been successfully built, I will release as a new beta. There will also be UI changes as well.
  9. Believe me I really didn't want to suspend the lists for Windows 11, but because WUD is so old and I have PM'd Jcarle about this problem and haven't yet gotten a reply. Also managed to decompile the executable to see if I could update WUD myself, but the code is so old that it's difficult to try and update the code with today's internet standards like https and TLS which MS uses now. It's good that you were always downloading the latest lists, and I will try again to see if I can update WUD's code. If not then I might have to code a brand new program to download windows updates, but I can not promise anything as my programming skills is basic and will need to use AI if I do decide to make a new one.
  10. You can discuss about Windows 11 v26H1 builds from this post onwards.
  11. Your welcome. I still update these update lists as I still think WUD is useful in downloading updates, just a shame the WUD Website is no longer up and running and that WUD does not support HTTPS.
  12. User choice, some people prefer to have a Antivirus installed and kept up to date. So that's the reason why I update these defender cabs once a week cause I like to help others, and if it keeps other people protected from online threats like malware, ransomware, etc then I feel better knowing that. Of course you don't have to have a antivirus software installed or one that comes built-in, as I said it's down to the user to decide that.
  13. Thanks, it's a shame that Jcarle isn't around to update his program and that the website is no longer available. But it is nice to know that some of you still use WUD to download updates for both Windows 10 and 11.

  16. This thread used to house Windows XP x64-x86 Update Lists which have been relocated link below, to save time and ask a admin to sticky a newly created thread I thought to replace XP lists with the latest update list for Windows 11. Anyway, from this post onwards everyone can discuss Windows 11 related stuff like, updates and features and a link will be provided in the first post of this thread. Windows XP Update Lists have been relocated here
  17. This update is still available on Microsoft Update Catalog website, but it's now only in a cab file and contains the .MSP file inside. Extract the file and integrate into the Office 2003 setup files. http://download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/software/secu/2008/07/snapview_3ce0607884774566760d7dfb39128c2549685a7b.cab

  19. I can provide you with a custom update list for v1909 x86, but I will PM you the ulz file which must never be shared with anyone or any other websites. Officially I no longer provide support for x86 update lists for Windows 10, and you will need to update the list yourself. Update: Sent you a pm.
  20. The updates contained in the update lists will work on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
  21. Yes there are three CPU architecture versions available: x64, x86 and arm64. When you run the online setup it will automatically detect what version of Windows you are running and download the correct version for your system.
  22. It was a system that was put in place by Microsoft to copy how Windows 10 is updated, instead of small new updates they would be in cumulative updates which includes all previous updates rolled up into one. So most of those KB updates have been superseded by the convienence rollup and the latest CU's. Even did the same to .NET updates and rolled them into CU that is released occasionally.
  23. Microsoft Edge Chromium Stable, Beta, Dev and Canary downloads All Channels are supported on x64 and x86* on Windows 10 and 11. 24. Not the right forum to ask for free stuff that is not from official sources, which is risky but also silly. I got into trouble here once a long time ago for sharing MSU files from my Google drive, which is not allowed. As they could have contained anything hidden, just like the iso the now banned user above asked for. Only download from official sources, ie; from MS download servers.
