hi guys installed xp on a mates machine with a admin account and guest account, i installed all the programs using the admin account, however when i go into the guest account and try to run winamp3, it tells me that theyre has been an error and would it like to contact microsoft whats the way of getting round this? thanks

Hi guys just taken the plunge and installed Windows XP Pro onto my laptop, i have a couple of things which i need sorted, having using windows millenium since i bought the laptop and now moving to XP i have noticed two things, i do not have a battery meter, the laptop will not switch itself off * with windows 98 and me i always had a battery meter, it was really handy for judging how much time i had left, im would like someone to reccomend a good battery meter to download and use * with windows 98 and me when i went to shutdown, the laptop always shut itself down, now with xp it just comes up, it is now safe to turn of your computer like it would with an old AT system The laptop is a failry modern P3 700, 256 Ram, 12GB HD, so i dont see any reason why it shouldnt work, thanks guys, your help is much appreciated

Ive got a secondary machine which i have xp on, i have some stuff which i dont want the visitors seeing, account details, tax returns, PoRN, etc etc etc, is theyre any way to create a guest profile whereby my (D) drive is hidden in the guest profile but appears on my own??? it could either be a whole drive, or a main folder within a drive, is this possible? CHeers

Hi guys Got a prob with IE, probably just a daft setting out, but i dont know what, when i open IE using the quick button on the taskbar or double click from the desktop it opens IE up in full screen, which is great, however whenever i click a hypertext link, it opens it up much smaller, then i have to maximise it, can anyone help me, its driving me daft thanks ross.mc.nairn@ntlworld.com

Hi guys Been running XP for a while now, but recently i have been getting the BSOD with this error message, when i restart and send the error report it says that it is BlackIce Defender that is cuasing the problems, Anyone else having this problem, is it blackice?? its all updated etc etc Or if it is BlackIce, can someone suggest a good free firewall like this Thanks guys
