  1. I did that with a bunch I have...
  2. Its incredibly easy... I suggest you go with the Budget package... Only $5.95 and more then enough space and bandwidth!
  3. Its possible, but not suggested... I suggest you take a backup of your database before doing anything like this...
  4. Please post in English... This is an English only board.
  5. I still use them... Got a bunch right here...
  6. Welcome back! Was wondering where you had gone...
  7. Or put a piece of duct tape over it or something so they can't press it at all... By the way, if you hold the button down for more than 5 seconds, it will power down no matter what (as if you were unplugging it...)...
  8. Didn't I post a link to this guide in the shrinking Windows 98 thread?
  9. My bad... Hadn't seen it...
  10. Probably has a saved Windows Activation file somewhere on the CD... Is there a file called wpa.dbl on the CD?
  11. http://www.etek.chalmers.se/~e8gus/nano98/ http://osfocus.net/article.asp?PostID=1
  12. Still using that hacked file... I'd like to have the hex-edits also... Do they exist for that file? Haven't been really looking up on this actual file...
  13. Exactly what I did, except I only made one backup and used Windows XP's setup to format my drive...
  14. Reregistering that file doesn't do anything... This is WEIRD...
  15. Any other ideas? I just reinstalled XP and the same thing is happening...
  16. Those aren't cases... They are just painted iPod... You can get it done at a bunch of sites... Send in your iPod and get it painted the colour you want...
  17. If everyone lists what programs they installed, maybe we can figure out which one has done this...
  18. 1. MSFN.org 2. Google.com 3. ASTROMIKE.com 4. GmailSwap.com 5. Gmail.Google.com
  19. Why don't people read the rules?
  20. OK, the drive works great... It took me a while to reinstall everything, but still, I got everything I needed...
  21. OK, well, I decided to go with the one at Costco... Its a Maxtor 160GB drive with an 8MB buffer and 7200RPMs... We'll see how it goes, and if I don't like it, I can return it! It came with some backup software, so hopefully it can make a duplicate of my C: drive in a subfolder...
  22. OK, well, I'll check it out... Money really isn't a factor at this point... I don't even need more than 160GB either... I don't even have that much stuff...
  23. Is that only for the drive enclosure? I don't see any external drives on NCIX for $40... Costco (as I heard) sells the enclosure, wires, and 160GB HD all for $250 (Canadian). Considering a 160GB HD goes for about $140 here these days, I'm guessing its an OK price...
  24. Thanks, XtremeMaC! I'll be going to Costco tomorrow to pick one up... I asked the administrator at my school what he suggested, since he had like 5 of them stacked up on top of each other... Well, I guess drap and dropping would be easier... How about the registry? I've been dying to find out where that's stored (even though I've made a backup)! (Yeah, I don't know... ) I've copied all the setup files I need to reinstall all my programs... Not a big fan of the unattended stuff (just haven't had the time)...
  25. Hello everyone! I'm finally about to do a clean install on my computer after a year and a half (yikes!). However, first I am going to buy a USB 2.0/Firewire 160GB hard drive (I need one for other stuff too). Now, I need advice on which product I can use to make an exact duplicate of my drive, but on a bigger hard drive (mine is 80GB right now, the one I will buy to back everything up will be 160GB). I know there are many products like Ghost and some other stuff, but what do you think I should use in this case (using an external drive)? I have about 30GB of stuff I need to backup (I know, it will take hours to copy to an external drive, but that doesn't matter)! Any ideas?
