Hello, I am trying to install XP from a network share,, not RIS. If I set the disk up with fdisk and format with oformat I have no trouble. If I set the disk up with diskpart, xp installs fine but when it tries to boot up, it blue screens with unmountable_boot_volume and reboots in a loop. Here is my diskpart script: Select Disk 0 Clean Create Partition Primary Select Partition 1 Format FS=NTFS QUICK Assign Letter=C: Active Exit Any ideas why it dosn't work with diskpart? Thanks.

Is there a way to install Windows COmponents silently after the OS is installed? I needto install the fax service on a few machines. I looked around trying to find options for this: rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL appwiz.cpl,,2 but coudn't find any. Thanks!

What if I wanted to run it a remote machine, with psexec for example?

Does any one know how to use the Rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry command to install a network printer on a remote machine? Itried psexec but I get an error saying the path can not be found. I put the command in quotes. Thanks!!

After a period of inactivity, Server 2003 locks the session and the user must press ctrl-alt-del and enter their password to get back in. Is there anyway to disable this? The suspended session, not the ctrl-alt-del. Thanks.

Hello, I use RDP/TS to set up Dell c610/600 and Optiplex 240/260s. I have no problem using TS but when a user logs on after I complete the setup, the machine will blue screen before the desktop loads. If I uninstall the video driver, the user can log on fine. Any help is appreciated!

I looked around MS's website and found 270MB download. When it started, the download manager in Mozilla showed that did downlaod the Debug. Brilliant.

Hello, When I try to run SP2 I get the following error: Service pack 2 setup cannot update a checked (debug) system with a free (retail) version of service pack 2, or vice versa And it exits. Does any one know what that means? Thanksl!

Hello all This is probably a stupid question but... I have a Product Key that came with my orginal XP disc. I created a cd slipstreamed with SP1 and did an unattended install and it worked fine. I created a cd with post SP1a hotfixes and tried an unattended install. When Setup "enters" my origianl key from winnt.sif, it gives an error: "The Product Key you entered is not Valid". Is there a way to "update" my key or get a new one? Thanks. The information in these forums in invaluable!
