  1. The installers obtained by this method are not of the form of a hotfix suitable to nlite "hotfix-addons-updates packs" section. Instead you should use methods proposed in first post. If you want to integrate .NET framework in that fashion You'll find what you're searching in the link in post #242
  2. No idea. But try to integrate SP3 manually before using nlite.
  3. This post point to a solution using WinPE or BartPE and diskpart scriptable utility: Automatic Partitioning for unattended installs
  4. EDIT: Solution here has been superseded by the one in Silent .NET Maker synthesized I have incorporated the modifications proposed in posts #222, #229 and #234, in page 12 of this thread, to make a synthesized version of Tomcat's script that work with all new .NET framework updates, both for XP and 2000 x86 until date, in order to ease your work. That is, in addition to what original Tomcat's script support, this version: - Builds real silent installers, without packet unzipping progress boxes, as proposed in post #222. - Support NDP1.1sp1-KB947742-X86.exe update under windows 2000, as proposed in post #229 - Support .NET framework 3.5 SP1 as proposed in post #234 by DarkShadows. ...
  5. @atolica You don't have to. Crearly you are doing something wrong with the building process. The fact that hidcon didn't work points it. Recheck.
  6. Actually is line 438. There was an error, has been corrected, but not in the quoted text.
  7. EDIT: In most recent version, it will run it and wait for it to finish. Silent .NET Maker synthesized
  8. You're right, my fault, I think I was using the modified file described on post #222. Has been corrected. Thanks.
  9. Here you can find Yzölw and others spreading wisdom: http://www.msfn.org/board/Help-me-to-redir...ors-t69151.html
  10. http://www.winaddons.com/rocketdock-135/ Integrate it with nilte.
  11. Get drive with: set thumb_dr=%~d0 And split output with: http://www.commandline.co.uk/mtee/
  12. You gotta search much harder: http://www.msfn.org/board/How-to-set-up-an...dial+connection
  13. I run my registry settings from both cmdlines.txt and runonceex. I read about problems loading registry settings in other threads that points to rebooting after changing settings and settings not correctly applied if did it from only one of the previous locations
  14. Alternatives to Sysprep Driver Scanner: http://www.msfn.org/board/Automatic-Driver...rep-t43483.html
  15. Change power options, reboot, check the keys have changed from keys in post #3, export the keys.
  16. This "Policies"=hex:##,##... your show are the defaults windows installs for Home/Office Desk. You have to configure your desired settings with control panel\power options, for the default Home/Office Desk policy, and then export the keys (maybe after rebooting once done changing the power settings). You should be able to make it default for new users too with: [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\PowerCfg] "CurrentPowerPolicy"="0" [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies\0] "Policies"=hex:##,##,##,##,##,##,##,..............
  17. I told you, you don't use search function enough. Configure power settings the way you wanted and the export: ;Set Power Configuration [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg] "CurrentPowerPolicy"="0" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies\0] "Policies"=hex:##,##,##,##,##,##,##,.............. and ready to include in your unattended.
  18. Not having used sysprep but I don't imagine how your syspreped image would know what the time zone should be configured for what workstation upon its destination. What about making different syspreped images for different time zones?
  19. I don't know anything about this but: What about trimming down the driver package to include only the driver of your card and only that, not giving possibility to error to windows selecting the correct one?
  20. I don't know, maybe this work: > RunOnceEx after a user logs on?, Is there a way to install from RunOnceEx AFTER a user logs on?
  21. EDIT: This solution has been integrated in Silent .NET Maker synthesized Test this (I can't, since I don't run win2k and gives me an error): 1. Install .NET 1.1 and all SP1 updates for win2k: NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe, NDP1.1sp1-KB928366-X86.exe, NDP1.1sp1-KB947742-X86.exe 2. Now you have to edit SNM.cmd, the line 51... START/WAIT %%I /XP:"!TMPDIR!" has to be replaced with... IF %%I==NDP1.1sp1-KB947742-X86.exe ( START/WAIT %%I /extract "!TMPDIR!" ) ELSE ( START/WAIT %%I /XP:"!TMPDIR!" )
  22. About this error when processing .NET 3.5 SP1 full redistributable, it is generated by line 438 of Tomcat's script (434 in the modified version of post #222)... RD/Q/S "!DNF3DIR!DNF30\XPS\amd64" ... which refers to a folder resultant from .NET 3.5 package extraction process. I could check that this folder doesn't exist in .NET 3.5 SP1 full redistributable while it does in 3.5 . So this error can be safely ignored when processing .NET 3.5 SP1 full redistributable, or avoided with a REM command at the beginning of the line. After a closer look to the process, I found no reason for your aproach to emerge problems. I'm using only .NET 2.0 SP2 silent installer (from 3.5 SP1 full redist) for my unattended set, with no issues, but I'll report if I'd find something wrong. Folks around, tell us your experiences.
  23. About both QoS services not needed in your opinion, in unattended\network settings the button enable IP config unmark those services.
