Hello, my name is Chris, and I was hoping of finding a way of installing Windows 2000 on my custom built computer, but since my motherboard is pretty new I think most of my drivers will fail to install, as most of them require Microsoft Windows XP and higher. Here are my specs listed bellow: Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H (Revision 1.0) RAM: 11GBs of DDR3 RAM Hard Drives: 60GB SSD Drive, 2 x 1TB Hard Disk Drives Processor: AMD Athlon II X3 435 Processor with 3 Cores Onboard Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4200 Network: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller any help shall be much appreciated.

Hello, My Name is Chris, and I have a question to ask everyone, has anyone thought of just running a Live CD as your main operating system, and not even using Internal Hard Disk Drives, and using only external drives, NAS or even a Server where all your storage is, I thought of this Idea, starting from last year, and I was wondering what people thought of it.

If I just ran Microsoft Windows PE for personal use would I still get in trouble?

Does anyone know if you can run Windows PE as general operating system in a home or business environment. I read at another forum that you cannot as it's only made for recovery purposes.

I just I was wondering if my computer could still run Microsoft Windows 2000 with that amount of RAM.

I Already know that Microsoft Windows 2000 will only support up to 8GB of RAM using the Advanced Server Editions, does anyone know if you can use up to 11GB of RAM?

Lately i have been trying to access Windows NT4 Shares on Windows XP, but for some reason i cannot see any of the shared folders of NT4 on my XP Machine, and Windows NT cannot see any of my shared folders from Windows XP. I have even updated Windows NT 4.0 to the latest Service Pack available, Even went through many options of Networking to try fixing this problem. If anyone knows of a way that i can still share files with Windows NT4 without downgrading My Computer to a older operating system that would be grateful.

Hello, I was going to Install Windows 2000 Professional SP4 on my computer instead of Windows XP. But I'm not sure whether it's a good idea or not. Could somebody tell me the pros and cons of this? i notice that K8N Neo Platinum support website mentions it cannot use nforce on Windows 98 or Windows ME, but i noticed you can download drivers for Windows 98 and ME and was wondering if a K8N Neo Platinum can Support running Windows 98?
