dint show up ne window.......during setup..! wht cud be the reason??

it dint run .......btw..it showed up some command prompt window for a sec ...n then disappeared suddenly..! n now i think that was my xplode.cmd file...! by the way,....here are my files .... xplode.cmd <<<--------resides in $OEM$ cmdlines.txt <<<--------resides in $OEM$ n my CD structure...

yup...i deleted those lines.....and i was able to open the file in IE also...! i m running setup......so i wud hv to wait 5-10 min....see if it works..!

so shud i replace all the variables (%systemdrive%) to %sourcedrive%?? in my xml file??

And yeah Alanoll I also want to install all my apps and hotfixes and reg settings from the CD......i do not want to copy everything and then executes from the HDD.......instead i want everything to run from the CD/DVD....whatever??... So guide me for that also....wht files wud i hv to create n which files wud i hv to place where n how?? thnks..for ur help!! RAJ

OK Alanoll....here is my .xml file...

ok...i downloaded latest version of xplode 1.1.2 and i edited my xml file also......! and for my PostInstall dir.....yes its going to be on the root of my cd......so wht command or wht type of path shud i use it in my xml file...?? n for the Xplode log file...how do i add n where to add it in my xml file?? thnks!

i think my paths r correct....and i m not too sure abt that.... but still wud there be ne other links to other files or somewht...! or wud we hv to create ne other batch file....or to modify ne other file..! ??

No ....its like..... C:\XPCD\PostInstall\ <<------some programs in this dir. and then my main xml file is in C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\XPInstall-4.3\XPInstall.xml ....??

Yeah tht i understood........ but.....OK! suppose u dunno nething abt unattended xp cd....n u still learning...! n u want to include your all working drivers for audio, video, motherboard, lan, etc etc.......so where wud u get all those files from??? wud u look in your \windows folder .......or will you open each inf file to look for information it has....! thts wht i want to know...! thew link u showed to me....i read all that....it shows an example...thts really good....! but still ??? thnks ..!

Hi [bM]Crusher............. I also hv the same drivers as u hv.....! and i m still making my unattended xp cd....but hvnt yet understood abt the drivers installing....! ... I wanted to know....suppose now i hv installed all drivers in my pc running......but how wud i know which file or whatever ...is for that particular device...! like suppose if i want to get installed my audigy live audio drivers during unattended..then wht and how many and wht type of files do i need to put in OEM folder....if u cud tell me...thanks!!!! hi...just curiosu to know whether can we specify xp installation to make its log of wht it did in the whole installation in C:...or wherever we want...! so that we cud know whts installed....or stuff like that.??

hi.... i made my xp cd with everything as i needed learnt from here....! and i made iso image using cd creator image recorder..... but when i ran it on MS Virtual PC....it shows--- ""Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selcted Boot device"" wht does this means...! i configured virtual pc 5-10 times.....but couldnt get out of this problem..! does neone know how to get rid of it?? thnks mukesh

hi ... i wanna know, as we put all our drivers in ..\$OEM$\$1\Drivers so where do these driver's files get stored in our computer....! and do they work effectively after getting stored??? thnks!

Hi ... i hv downloaded a visual style which is very good ....and i want to integrate it into xp unattended setup cd....... but its .msstyle file....! n wht i hv heard is that xp only recognizes .theme extension... well no idea...! so i need help here how to integrate this .msstyle file which doesnt hv ne other file also with it...! its just one file....plzz help!! thnks Mukesh
