  11. @mdes Hello i've downloaded your last mapdrive from the first post v. 2005/06/24: I tryd to use mapdrive for my unattended CD My configuration is: German Microsoft Windows XP PRO Service Pack2 [Version 5.1.2600] Diskpart is different from yours ! ??? Microsoft DiskPart Version 5.1.3565 Copyright (C) 1999-2003 Microsoft Corporation I have 1 Harddisk (3 partitions) / 1 DVD Drive (Master) / 1 CD-RW Drive (Slave) The 1. partition should become the drive letter C: The 2. partition should become the drive letter D: The 2. partition should become the drive letter E: The DVD Drive (Master) should become the drive letter F: The CD-RW Drive (Slave) should become the drive letter G: I allways want to reserve the letters C: D: E: for Harddisk ! The first CD (Master) should become F: and the second CD or DVD G: ! If there is no second CD or DVD no drive letter should assigned. My problem is: Mapdrive assigns allways the letter "Z" to my CD-RW Drive ! Why ??? But it should be "G" But i still have a the textfile "CDR.G" on C:\ It works for the DVD Drive and HD- Partitions but not for the CD-RW Drive ??? By the way my Diskpart shows me CD not CDR ? C:\>diskpart Microsoft DiskPart Version 5.1.3565 Copyright (C) 1999-2003 Microsoft Corporation. 12. @[bM]Crusher 1. it is disigned to use batch files, but you have to create the batch files by yourself 1="%systemdrive%\install\Applications\AdobeReader6\AdbeRdr60_deu_full.exe -p"-s /v\"/qn\""" 2="%systemdrive%\install\Applications\AdobeReader6\Acro-Reader_6.0.2_Update.exe -p /S /v/qn" 3="/min %systemdrive%\install\DirectX9b\dx9bopk.cmd" 4="/min %systemdrive%\install\codecs2\register.cmd" Use the /min parameter if you call a *.cmd file 2. If you choose the program, just klick one time at the "name" of the application then it is ok. 3. You can also add the ATI Catalyst driver 4.6 works for me XPES1.bmp
  13. @Alanoll Thank you for the tip Alanoll ! I will try XPlode by my self ! But not today because here is soccer European Championship! Did you know this ? Right now Germany- Holland how is your tip ? Thanks !
  14. That is however really unfortunate ! For me it works nice and easy to use too. I have tryed IceManD's Install prgram before it was rally bugy. Peoples says they better wait for version 3 too. So i did not try IceManD's Installer the latest versions any more. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=11061&st=170 And before IceManD's i used "techtype's" installer also canceled. Im looking for someting easy to use like XPES. I saw in the forum peoples says XPlode is hard to use. I don't know So I did not try XPlode. I have also read from the Post-install Wizard. How about a good tip of you specialists ? Thank you in advance
  15. Hello my friends ! The silent mode install for the Acro-Reader_6.0.2_Update.exe for works me with the following command: Acro-Reader_6.0.2_Update.exe -p /S /v/qn note capital "S" @pinout Acro-Reader_6.0.2_Update.exe /s /v/qb dont work!
  16. @Alanoll I saw more than 3300 views and 56 is not a little I mean. Ok the start of the post is a little older too Sep 12 2003 By the way, when they started this unattended Windows Forum ? My congratulation really very much informative! If I want to use my UA Windows CD on different Systems I want to have a choice witch software i want to install or not ! Let me compare, to a restaurant You would like to select also the meal or not? Not only "unattended" Sauerkraut with bratwurst and no other choice haha.. Ok a little joke.. But as i said already XP-ES is a nice additive tool for unattended Windows XP installations. Serves the purpose and is easy to use. Anyhow for me the simplest and best which I could found here so far! Or someone can be recommended somewhat better ? In and case it should be taken up into the list of the Sticky: Threads OF Interest - Software Installation Selection Thank you! Please excuse my English I am German
  17. Yes that is true! XP-ES is a nice additive tool for unattended Windows XP installations. And for me with distance the best and easy to use too, which I found so far here. In and case it should be taken up into the list of the Sticky: Threads OF Interest - Software Installation Selection
  18. There are several download links At the first page, when Nephilim starts the topic Ladies and Gents for your pleasure Budster and me present: Windows XP Enhanced Setup v0.9 beta 7 Posted on Sep 12 2003, 05:39 AM If you would like to participate at the beta testing, you may get XP-ES here: Windows XP - Enhanced Setup MSCOMCTL.OCX Page no 3 Posted on Sep 20 2003, 05:39 PM There you go folks: XP-ES 0.9b10 Page no 4 Posted on Sep 23 2003, 02:47 PM Okay it's beta again XP-ES v0.9 b11 Page no 5 Posted on Oct 14 2003, 03:08 PM Hi Jopster I removed the timer and uploaded a "Timer Free"-Version of XPES here: XP-ES (Timer Free) All links have the same source: http://www.yeek.com/~qmsfn/xpes/xpes-nc.exe And I assume this is the last version. Selective software installation is interesting topic, and a basic thing for me. Because when is spend so much time to create a UA CD. Then I want to use it for different systems and i want to be flexible too! XP-ES is a nice additive tool for unattended Windows XP installations. And for me with distance the best and easy to use too, which I found so far here. I only now found it by coincidence. In and case it should be taken up into the list of the Sticky: Threads OF Interest - Software Installation Selection My Congratulations to Nephilim and Budster
