  1. Try this link MSDN WNet Platform SDK , maybe that will give u a kick start.
  2. Has anyone ever tried to install a Nlited XP SP2 from network using WinPE? I have tried it, after aplying some missing files (winnt32.exe files, ntcompat.inf) I managed to start setup. But in text mode at "Setup is starting windows installation" I got a BSOD. Anyone any idea of files that are still missing? I've tried it with a original XP SP2 slipstreamed, using unattended setup and that wend just fine. If this was posted before, don't shoot me, I've used the search engine but did not found anything relevant.
  3. Problem solved, I've used the wrong cdshell. About my second question, found out myself too. These are required to start the installation, if missing you get a message like "Please insert the disk labeled Windows Professional SP2" Thanks to those who replied for your help
  4. According to flyakite's Multiple boot vd/dvd guide I should be able to debug cdshell. When I open cdshw.com in my BOOT folder I get the following error message (see attachment). I already tried to copy autoexec.nt and config.nt from the Windows\Repair folder to System32 but the problem remains. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this. Just a quick second question while i'm here. Can someone explain me why WIN51, WIN51IP and WIN51IP.SP2 should be in the AIO-DVD folder cause this is confusing me. Thanks in advance.
  5. @Eleo You can connect more then 4 computers even more then you ever need and there are different ways to set up your network. 1° DSL Modem -> Router -> Server with two Ethernet cards With this setup the router act as a DHCP server and assigns a IP to one of the NICs. The gateaway for that NIC is the IP of DSL Modem. Then setup the server to act as a DHCP server and from the second NIC go to a switch. The other pc's are connected to switch with the gateaway the servers IP. 2° DSL Modem -> Router -> 3 computers connected to the router and 1 to the switch -> other computers connected to the switch. (This is more easy) Hope's this will help you.
  6. Try this, Dim fs As Object Set fs = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") fs.CopyFolder "C:\Temp", "D:\Temp" Set fs = Nothing This copies all subfolders and files from the first path to the second path, note that both folders must exist.
  7. Maybe this is a stupid question, but would it be possible to integrate Office 2003 Proofing Tools into Office 2003? If not, I have a 2nd question. Is it possible to slipstream SP1 for Office 2003 Proofing Tools into Office 2003 Proofing Tools CD. I have tried the administrative install (setup.exe /a) but that does not work. Anyone have an idea?
  8. Hi all, I have just found an Excel file from Microsoft where each and every group policy setting is explained (policy path, name, supported on, help text and even the reg key ). So maybe this can help anyone to build his/her ultimate tweak file. I planned to attach it, but the compressed file is 186K (only 150K allowed) so here is the link Group Policy Settings Reference for Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 enjoy
  9. Does anyone know how to remove Internet explorer link directly from Start Menu? What I mean is, when you click the start menu there are 2 links on top of the start menu ie. Internet Explorer and e-mail client. Or another way to remove these are start menu properties- customize start menu-General tab at the bottom there's a group "Show on start menu" were you can check/uncheck Internet and mail. My question is, are there any registry tweaks to remove these? I tried to find it myself with Advanced Registry Tracer but nothing found. Thanks in advance
  10. Go to the windowsupdate site, in the left pane under 'Other options' click 'Personalize windows update', then in the right pane under 'Set options for windows update' check 'Display the link to the Windows Update Catalog und' and click on the button 'Save Settings'. Now on the left pane under 'See also' click on 'Windows update Catalog'. Choose 'Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems' Choose your OS, Language and in the 'Advanced options' you can choose different options like recommended updates, critical updates etc.... Hope this helps
