  1. when does it give you these file copy errors? During windows install, or during the third party software install? Blyster
  2. You should be able to do this usinf winnt.sif. Use the setupmgr from the xp deploy tools to create your winnt.sif file and it will run you through the network setup. Just tell it not to use the defaults and set it up how you want it with the correct ip info Blyster
  3. Not getting any errors(Goes through unattended install just fine). I do see a flash like a dos prompt flash for less than half a second at the 13 minute mark though(its not cmdlines.txt though since i dont have it put in yet). But when i log in and check windows update, those updates are still out there. I'll fiddle with it a bit more to test if the improper version info was keeping it from running Blyster
  4. Yes, i did make the change to DOSNET.INF i am running the following from svcpack.inf .NET Framework Movie Maker 2 Journal Viewer Highmat CD Support Update I will try in few with the same version info in svcpack.inf as when done from SP1. Blyster
  5. I am running into a bit of trouble gettting svcpack.inf to run at the 13 minutes remaining mark during GUI setup on my XP SP2 disc. Would the info need to be the same as the XP SP1 disc as below, or would it need to be different? [Version] Signature="$Windows NT$" MajorVersion=5 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=2600 I tried making MinorVersion=2 and BuildNumber=2906, but didnt have anyluck with that. All the files for svcpack to run are in the correct location and run with the correct switches. Thanks a lot Blyster
  6. Are you trying to add in unattended files and reg tweaks as well? If so, i would suggest trying to use xpcreate JUST to get the install disc patched with all the hotfixes until you have this working, then add additional files only after you are sure xpcreate is working. If you are not putting unattended files, drivers, etc.. in with xpcreate, try unzipping xpcreate into a new directory, redownloading the hotfixes and service pack and running xpcreate from there. Remaining files have sometimes been known to muck things up a bit. If you can find the xpcreate.log file either in the base directory of xpcreate or in the newfiles directory, it would greatly help. Good Luck Blyster
  7. I started looking through my setupapi.log file and i realize that since my monitor driver is not signed(no signed drivers available) it lowers the rank of the driver below the rank of the Standard PnP driver. I am not sure about a reg hack to get a more detailed setupapi.log file, but ill search for it. I also am not having luck installing the VIA4in1 drivers during anattended either. Seems like its the same problem with the rank getting lowered. Blyster Here is my setupapi.log file
  8. Exactly, and just make the proper modifications in the winnt.sif file at the OemPnPDriversPath Blyster
  9. Thanks Alanoll. I figured as much. Appreciate your help. Blyster
  10. I've got my unattended disc set up and everythign is working great right now except that I can not get my monitor drivers to take. I have the correct path to the monitor drivers. OemPnPDriversPath="DRIVERS\A7V266E\MONITOR" And i have this DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore All of my other drivers are being used during unattended, but then again they are all signed. Can anyone think why this is happening? Thanks, Blyster
  11. Yes, you can integrate as many RAID/SATA controller drivers as you like for sure.
  12. Was just thinking about how the SATA/RAID integration happens in XPCreate. The only reason we are adding the OemPnPDriversPath to point to the folder containing the SATA/RAID drivers is in order for Windows to have the correct drivers when it starts up right? XPCreate copies the only file needed for the text setup portion into i386 correct? Just trying to get a little clarification for myself. Thanks Blyster
