  1. Hi. I am using Vista x64 SP1 as native system on my PC. I've just found out that it is something wong with it because when I install any WAIK on virtualized system (VMWare), everything is OK.
  2. This is from WAIK v1.1: 23:02 : 23:02 : Windows System Image Manager execution failed. 23:02 : 23:02 : System.Reflection.TargetParameterCountException: Parameter count mismatch. at System.Windows.Forms.Control.MarshaledInvoke(Control caller, Delegate method, Object[] args, Boolean synchronous) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.Invoke(Delegate method, Object[] args) at Microsoft.ComponentStudio.Common.ErrorReporting.ShowErrorConfirmation(Form owner, String message, Exception ex, String caption, MessageBoxButtons buttons, MessageBoxDefaultButton defaultButton, String servicingPath) at Microsoft.ComponentStudio.CatalogGenerator.CreateCat(ProgressDialog pd, Object o) at Microsoft.ComponentStudio.Controls.ProgressDialog.ThreadProc() at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) at System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart() WAIK for WIN 7 RC freezes and does not do anything.
  3. I have a copy of Vista x64 SP2 from MSDN but I cannot use WAIK to configure it. WAIK gives me some errors and do not want to read any MSDN Vista SP2 images. Vista SP1 is OK. I tryed WAIK v1.1 and version for Win 7 RC too. What to do? Thank you.
  4. When I setup diskquota on disk C, I can see that 1GB of data are owned by SID with unknown user account. I know only SID of that account. How can I find all the files owned by that SID? Thank you.
  5. Hi. At first I must say I am pretty new to Vista. 1. I use many long passwords in many situations at work on my Vista PC. I use KeePass as passwords storage. But I have many problems to copy and paste these long passwords in many windows dialogs. It is simply impossible and I must type them manualy what is very frustrating for me. Is there any way to copy and paste passwords into Vista's dialogs? 2. I have checked 'Remember each folder's view settings' option in 'Folder Options' of 'Control Panel' but Vista does not remember my folder's views many times and sets them in very strange ways. Is it Vista's problem? I have fresh installed Vista Ultimate annd do not have any problems with my PC. Thank you for any help.
  6. Hi. Do you know any Vista file association handler? The best way would be some free utility. The default control panel for this thing is very poor. Thank you.
  7. I've found out the problem. I've exchanged INTEL INF sources. The wrong version v9.0.0.1008 WHQL was used. There are two unsigned inf files in that version.
  8. INTEL INF v8.4.0.1016 WHQL tryed also v8.7.0.1007. INTEL RAID v7.8.0.1012 MARVELL NIC v10.57.3.3 ASUS ACPI v1043.4.0.0 Later I will add some more drivers.
  9. Drivers are all official WHQL with .cat files. I used them in my one week older integration project and everything was correct. Only differnce bettween these two projects is that the hotfixes are integrated in the newer one but not in the older.
  10. When I install vLited Vista Ultimate with integrated hotfixes and drivers I can see during installation a red window where it is written that there are non valid signatures on some drivers. I can install them or not. But I cannot see which drivers have invalid signatures and why. How can I find out these problematic drivers?
  11. I've never noticed this line in cmdlines.txt, do I need it? What does it do? "rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection nLite.inf,nLiteReg" But when I nlited wxp x64, that line was not inserted in my cmdlines.txt. Thank you.
  12. I use now three RunOnceEx files. The first two files have the same title and there is no problem with it.
  13. So as I think you want to have two seasons of RunOnceEx. The first season runs OK at the very first boot after system installation. But you want to reboot your PC one more time and second RunOnceEx season never runs. Am I correct? If you install IE7 trough RunOnceEx, it breaks the second RunOnceEx season at next boot. If you are doing this, the workaroud is in link I've posted before. Or, pleas, post here the most important parts of your installation files.
  14. Hi. I think you should read this thread: IE7 RunOnceEx problem solved! Finally!, Yes, you can install IE 7 and its Hotfixes via RunOnceEx!. There you should find the right method to solve your problem. Post No.58 is decribing working solution. If that thread is not speaking about your problem, try to be more specific when you describe your issues.
