  8. Hi iheartsims, you have probably solved your issue by now. Server 2003 R2 comes with two cd set, CD1 is just Server 2003 with no R2 and you can install it with Server 2003 Serial key or with the Server 2003 R2 serial Key, if you install it with the R2 Key you get promped to put in the CD2 - R2 components. CD2 just the R2 components and you cant installit with the Server 2003 serial key, you have to have the R2 key.. /SaiTech
  9. Hi all, I found a guide to, if I understand this right then you can copy the CMPNENTS on 2003 R2 cd2 to 2003 R2 cd1 then slipstream cd1. and then install it with the 2003 R2 serial key. then the R2 components will install automaticly. Well I have tried with no success, should this work? "The idea of the CMPNENTS folder is not new to R2 but was taken from Windows XP MCE and Tablet editions as was the idea that if you copy the CMPNENTS folder from the second CD into the same folder as i386 from the first CD then with the right license key it will be automatically installed during the setup routine. Taking this into account I then tried copying the CMPNENTS folder into the CD1 folder along with the contents of the first CD and trying the service pack integration again. Out of curiosity I used WinDiff to compare the results to the CMPNENTS in my CD2 folder - 136 files were changed by the integration of the service pack. 10. Hi, OS = Windows XP sp3 I am doing a multi image, and I want to get rid off non-present devices after sysprep. I have a c:\Sysprep\i386\$OEM$\cmdlines.txt with "c:\sysprep\sysprep.exe -clean -quiet" It do clean most of the non-pressent devices, but still some left. I have seen that you can have or maybe it is just for sysprep -bsmd in the sysprep.inf under section [sysprepcleanup] I have notice that you can lower the boot up time with about 15 - 30 sec, it is importan to reduce the boot time. XP is in an domain with AV and lost of services on, and it takes over 2 minutes to boot + a loogon script /SaiTech

  12. Hi, I want to tweak the default value or add an new power scheme profile. So when a new user logon it get the tweaked powerscheme or if you run the command - "powercfg /RestoreDefaultpPolicies" then the logged on user get the tweaked power scheme. The problem is if I tweaks the .DEFAULT\Control Panel\PowerCfg when a user with no profile logon, you cant see the "power scheme" no scheme is there. But if you run the command "powercfg /RestoreDefaultpPolicies" the tweaked power scheme is there. Is there anyone knowing about this issue? It dont seems that the DEFAULT\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies get updated some how. I play with this REG - keys [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies] to -5] And this [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\PowerCfg] "CurrentPowerPolicy"="6" /SaiTech
