  1. i'm having an issue where the only legitimate wallpaper that shows up in display properties is the image that is referenced by the theme i'm using, despite there being many more wallpapers in the folder. for example, here's my wallpaper folder: and here's what i see if i want to change the wallpaper: i never had this problem with sp2, which leads me to believe it may be sp3 related. unfortunately i can't pinpoint exactly when the problem started occurring, because it's not something i check that often. for reference, in nlite (im using 1.4.6) i've selected the option to remove 'images and backgrounds', and other than that i don't do any modifications related to wallpapers/themes/etc. thanks in advance for any help.
  2. If you remove everything after Run("TTpack.exe") what happens? (i.e. make sure the executable you're running and the script are in the same directory). All the stuff you have before this line isn't necessary either, you should focus on debugging instead of a workaround, especially since this is a pretty simple script. Maybe double-check the window titles/text too. I don't know what version you're using, but a lot of them don't match up with the version I downloaded (2.2.0.3). The text for components/location both start with Choose, options is RealLite's (not RealLite), browers options starts with Alternative, start menu starts with Choose, etc. Use window info to double-check. The installer I downloaded also began with a prompt for choosing the installer language. If you have installed it on your system before, there's a chance that this prompt won't come up when resintalling, so you may want to check for anything that's lingering in %AppData%.
  3. i'm getting this error when i try to run ad-aware never had this issue with 7.0.2.6. it seems to be a common problem when in safe made, but i'm not in safe mode. only solutions i've found is to make sure aawservice.exe is running (it is) and to disable DEP, which didn't help. anybody else have this issue? only thing i've really changed in my install since using the previous version is integrating kels runtimes and integrating driverpacks before making the iso. i think i'll revert back to a previous session that worked with the old ad-aware and see if it works with the new one.
  4. the txtsetup.inf doesnt change (same md5) when i try to slipstream. im assuming the error i get from the slipstreamer prevents any changes from being made. ive attached the txtsetup.inf if you need it. TXTSETUP.zip
  5. I'm getting an error after I added a few new addons to make XP (x86, xp pro sp2) look more like Vista: I've had no problems with the slipstreamer before, and got it after adding the following addons (nothing else changed): Ricks_WindowsSidebarSP2_AlkyXP1.0_AddOn.7z AIO_Vista_Theme_Addon_by_LUZR4LIFE.7z ENG2ITA_WINFLIP_0421_ADDON.CAB Gorki_AddOn_TrueTransparency_071207.cab NR_EnergySS_Addon_1.2.cab NR_StarterWalls_Addon.cab Ricks_AIOVistaAeroCursors_AddOn_v7.07.03.rar Ricks_AlkyVistaRTMApps_AddOn.rar Ricks_GlassToasts_AddOn.rar Ricks_QTTabAddressBar_AddOn_80114.rar Ricks_TransBar1.4.2_AddOn.rar Ricks_VistaRocketDock1.3.5_AddOn.rar Ricks_VistaRTMBootSceen_KB944092.7z Ricks_WindowsSidebar_CustomGadgets_AddOn_070911.rar Ricks_WindowsSidebarStyler2.0.6_AddOn.rar I searched and only found one person that's gotten a similar error, which was resolved by not integrating ToolTipFixer, but I don't use that addon so that's not the problem. I haven't gone through the process of testing each addon one-by-one yet - was hoping this is a known issue or someone has experienced it before with these addons. If not, I'll test each addon and report back with which one if causing the problem. Last_Session.ini

  8. You can update this yourself pretty easily. Unpack DefragglerCPL1.0.0.31.cab, then delete DefragglerCPL.cab. Install the latest version of Defraggler on your computer, copy Defraggler.exe to it's own director, then create a new DefragglerCPL.cab with the updated Defraggler.exe inside it. Edit entries_DefragglerCPL.ini to reflect the build date/version/etc., and repack the addon.
  9. You could use something like this for your SFX comments: ;The comment below contains SFX script commands Path=Medieval CUE Splitter Silent=1 Shortcut=P, "program.exe", "Folder", "Description", "Program Name" This would extract the contents to \Program Files\Medieval CUE Splitter, and create a shortcut in Start Menu\Programs\Folder. If you wanted to extract the contents elsewhere, you could use something like: Path=%SystemDrive%\Programs\Medieval CUE Splitter Search the forum for "winrar sfx" and you'll get lots of pages that can help you make sense of it, but it's pretty straightforward. And the easiest thing to do in your case right now is to run the SFX through the addon maker, selecting the SFX as the installation file. You could also use WPI, or call it from GUIRunOnce or something of the like.

Feel free to add any requests for more tag sources.

  12. Exact Audio Copy v0.99 prebeta 4 Exact Audio Copy is a so called audio grabber for audio CDs using standard CD and DVD-ROM drives. The main differences between EAC and most other audio grabbers are : - is free (for non-commercial purposes) - It works with a technology, which reads audio CDs almost perfectly. If there are any errors that can’t be corrected, it will tell you on which time position the (possible) distortion occurred, so you could easily control it with e.g. the media player With other audio grabbers you usually need to listen to every grabbed wave because they only do jitter correction. Scratched CDs read on CD-ROM drives often produce distortions. But listening to every extracted audio track is a waste of time. Exact Audio Copy conquer these problems by making use of several technologies like multi-reading with verify and AccurateRip. Website : Main : What's New Filesize : 2.79MB (2,859,315 bytes) MD5 : 91B88930887F96A0511B1516F2BFC45B Main : eSnips Mirror : mediafire Note: Wrote a quick AutoIt script to disable the placement of eBay shortcuts on the desktop and in the start menu.
  13. thanks for all the hard work. is there are any way you can update the exact audio copy addon to not install the ebay icon/shortcuts? thanks. edit: http://www.msfn.org/board/Release-Exact-Au...or-t112077.html
  14. http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ I love this program, but could do without the assistant - I'd like an addon with just the shell extensions. Anyone that can help me out/point me in the right direction gets a cookie. Thanks in advance.
  15. you can do it through a batch file. for the example you gave, something like this would work. create a new text document and save it as cleanup.cmd (or whatever name you prefer), and put this in: @echo off cmdow @ /HID title "Organizing start menu..." MD "%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Internet" MOVE "%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Firefox\Firefox.lnk" "%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Internet\Firefox.lnk" RMDIR /Q /S "%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Firefox" EXIT you'd obviously have to change the placeholders if it's necessary (i.e. it might be %AllUsersProfile% instead of %UserProfile%), and change the paths to whatever you want. then place the batch file into system32, and add this to the end of WINNT.SIF: [GuiRunOnce] "%WinDir%\system32\cleanup.cmd"
  16. thanks, i love this program. here's a quick addon i made to add tag sources for allmusic, amazon uk, amg, discogs album/artist search, musicbrainz, walmart cover search, and yahoo.de integrate the .cab as you would any other addon, and add the following to WINNT.SIF [GuiRunOnce] "%WinDir%\system32\sources.cmd" the .cab will place this batch file and an sfx archive into %systemdrive%\WINDOWS\system32%, and the batch file creates the sources dir in %appdata% and then starts the sfx archive, which extracts the .src files into the sources dir. i have a feeling that there's an easier/more efficient way of doing this, but this is a quick and dirty method that works for me. this is my first upload so let me know how it works.
  17. hello all, this is my first post and i'm new to nlite. hopefully somebody can help me out here. one of the add-ons i'm integrating with nlite is taskswitchxp (thanks to rado354). this program has an option for hiding the icon from the system tray when it starts, but the default is for the icon to be shown. i would like the default to be to hide the icon, so when you first boot up the service is running but the user doesn't see it in the system tray. i figured the easiest way to do this would be to have a reg entry that's called from cmdlines.txt (or using reg add in my cleanup.cmd), but i can't figure out what the key is. i used regshot to try and identify it, and the log shows: ---------------------------------- Values added:2 ---------------------------------- HKU\S-1-5-21-1645522239-220523388-725345543-500\Software\Alexander Avdonin\TaskSwitchXP\2.0\Flags: 0x042206FF HKU\S-1-5-21-1645522239-220523388-725345543-500\Software\Alexander Avdonin\TaskSwitchXP\2.0\ConfigPos: 0xFFF10035 but none of these appear to work. i created a .reg file with these values, deleted them in the registry (the icon remained hidden, so i set it to show in the taskswitch config), then added the .reg to the registry but the icon still shows. anyone know of a way to accomplish this? thanks a lot
