  1. you might want to try this and see if it works. i have used it before but installation returned errors, i do not know if the update pack was to blame. ps: the pack is to be applied only to sp2ed distributions.
  2. HERE and scroll down to ---> Set Monitor to NEVER turn off, and "When I press my power button" to "Ask me what to do" personally, i wouldn't trust it, but you might give it a try.
  3. thank you vey much. in actuallity i've set up a new line in cmdlines.txt calling upon a .cmd file which contains: ATTRIB +R %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\rundll32.exe
  4. i found THIS for you i never worked with batch commands but looking at some examples, i think you should try like this: SET one = string1 SET two = string2 SET three = "some other string " + one + " " + two ECHO %three%
  5. After installing windows to a short while, rundll32.exe is being deleted by some application and due to SFC removal it won't come back. So the problem is solved by setting its attributes to read-onlly. How do I do it ?
  6. My goal was to integrate such a thing with nlite, well, i've done even better. I wasn't aware of the unattended tutorials on the forum, but now i'm pumping with gas. So, to integrate o logo such as tinyzprev03 as above i could have copied oemlogo.bmp and oem.inf in $$\System32\ and at startup after installing it would have shown up. But that wouldn't have been satisfying. Look at the final result: HERE ! It's what i wanted all the time but i had nowhere to start from, thanks to this forum i did it:
  7. Mate, are you sure you know what you're doing?, that's the most minimalistic setup i've ever seen. It's likely it won't work properly. You could remove cmdtools (a bunch of command line tools such as ping, tracert used for checking internet connection and stuff, if you've never used them it's safe to remove) and disk cleanup (you wouldn't like to be bothered sometimes by this annoying program). You may also delete 16-bit support, though i always keep it just to be sure. Games don't use it, but some older programs do, such as ... i don't know.
  8. Cheers to All. You're the greatest. I will follow the instructions on that website but my first option was to use reshack, after a little invetsigation i found out that writting sysdm.cpl in Run does the same as right clicking My Computer and pointing to Properties. So sysdm is the file. I'm still a bit dizzy about reshack , it's the first time i use it. Thanks again.
  9. As my first post on the site i hope i'm in the right place to post. So please notice the red eliptic picture that says tinyxp rev03, i would like to integrate my own picture there and write smth. Have any ideea how? or point me in a direction.
