I'm used so much to Firefox now that I always remove IE with vLite, seeing as I don't want anything to do with it anymore, but keep the HTML engine nevertheless so I can use the IE tab extension just in case and to not break some applications that use it. However since 1.1 beta 2 everytime I use these things it keeps trying to save the webpages, opening a download window and then failing anyway. huh, can't say i'm surprised...

While installing update KB941649 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941649) it searches for updates, then OK to install but then the installation ends with nothing but a "The following updates were not installed: KB941649"... it's easier to blame vLite when it might not have anything to do with it... and, I don't actually have a preset, but this installation is pretty bare, there is no WEI, no games, no IE, etc. Any ideas?

Maybe if you could attach your preset file? I'm working on a vLite'd Ultimate 32 bit and I have ALWAYS removed the Media Center, games and printer drivers: I have never had that problem.

I have had the same problem even with ZoneAlarm turned off, it just ends while trying to integrate amdparse.dll (IE7)... EDIT: ok... I just tried to do the same thing in XP instead of in Vista Ultimate and it worked without a flaw.

It looks like it doesn't work only in Ultimate, because I have had the same error (gets stuck at the end of installation) and didn't have a problem in XP...
