Yes it works ok on a VPC.....when installed it has lots of bugs. Source of all this is Nlite.....too many options put together......not integrated properly......like it's burner is crap. Only good for slip streaming OS & SPs......rest may happen right by a chance. Nlite should remove the bugs its filled with or switch over to some othe slip streaming software. Just my thoughts....

Does not remove norton etirely..........yes as far as visible files/folders reg entries are concerned yes...........but not the code embedded in XP MCE, installed from a manufacturer. You will get XP security alerts, while on line ocassionally but regilarly. In order to avoid those, only solution is format & install XP MCE from retail CDs. Symantec Removal tool .SymnRt is in effective too...... Regards!

Your old SOURCE folder remains in the registry. Delete it first than, than create a new empty source folder........ that way you wont have the pic/slide show issues yr facing. Regards!

Can a bootable ISO made & saved by Nlite be manipulated again........adding or removing items? Even a tracking cookie/ data miner 207.net can affect the final ISO made by Nlite.........meaning clean up your browser totally. Regards!

I went through all this........ Uninstalled NIS 2006 using add/ remove, than deleted ALL Norton/symantec files folders & registry entries but still I do get this pop up annoying message........ Which neiher symantec or sony has a clue......... Your System is at a risk.......Norton Anti worm is not enabled" click here to see........" It remains for a few secs than disappears. Regards!

I agree totally when it comes to burning a bootable ISO using Nlite it doesnt work. Nlite should only be used to make a bootable final ISO....... Nero 6.6 is tried & tested , burnt same image using it works. Just my thoughts........ Regards!

Just a gut feelin........ 1. I feel that antivirus, antispyware softwares should be disabled when using Nlite.....specailly Spybot. 2. machine should not be attached to the net. 3. It should be fresh install from Recovery DvDs & than use Nlite to slip stream. 4. How & where does one insert default & extra themes? 5. Can one slip stream some windows related applications ...where & how? Regards!

Hello every one, I made a XP MCE 2005 DVD using Nlite 1.3.2 rc.........on booting & intsalltion I faced the following issues: Btw it was my first time using any Nlite & slip streaming......... 1. I got all default XP themes but neither XP MCE theme nor Sony themes.........when I opened the box to check for other themes I had such figures.......... [] [] 2. The default windows Text was slightly different? 3. The updates & Hot fixes that I inserted couldnt see them in C:/ Windows?? 4. Where do I add WMP 11, Net frame work 2 etc.........in Components?? 5. Though I inserted the key & upon installtion it wanted it again? 6. Nlite is great for OS, Service packs & driivers only.......may be I need to practice more.....destroy less DVDS..... should install VMware & check on it first before actual installtion? 7. It failed to show my removable drives clearly.........Memory Stick Pro & SD/MMC drive? 8. Is there any other soft ware to grab the default drivers as I am in the Sony recovery dvd XPMCE envoirment? Hoping to hear from ya smart people.......... I want to make a cutomized DVD of XP MCE 2005 to my needs

Hologram CD.......Retail/OEM my names.......misinterpretation. Simply answer how I can make a MCE CDs/DVD from the 2 set Recovery DVD bought from Sony. I simpy dont want the bloat they stuffed. & stop being analytical & judgmental. Hoping to hear your view regarding making a XP MCE 2005 from Recovery DVDs. Regards.
