  8. Hello every one, I apologize for my ignorance about computer related stuff since am a med doc & my English is pretty pathetic...... I have a 2 set Sony Recovery DVD kit. My question is: How can I extract XP MCE 2005. drivers & a few nice sony applications from them, SEPERATELY.......leaving the trial junk in it. Than I can slip stream them using Nlite........basically I want a customized, neat, fresh install......... Please be patient & explain step wise since am not good with these machines.........am grateful for your patienance. Hoping to hear from all of you genius people, Regards!
  9. Hello ALL, I'm new to the forums & is my first post. I got a Vaio VGC-LS1, with a 2 DVD Recovery kit. That intsalls XP MCE 2005 plus loads of bloated, junk, 3rd party trial softwares. Bought a retail version of XP MCE 2005. When I install XP retail some drivers don't get installed. I tried experimenting with driver grabber working in XP from recovery DVD. Placed them in a empty folder. Than installed Nlite version 1.3. Did as per guide.......All contents of retail version copied to another folder. Started Nlite, than added Hotfixes & updates.......than the driver folder & made it bootable. No tweaks or components added. Burnt the ISO using Nero 6.6. Works ok, all drivers installed, but updates are missing?? Some desk top themes of Sony show as [].........what am I doing wrong? New to slip streaming. Is there a way to extract some sony programs from the recovery dvds? Basically I want a fresh install of XP MCE 2005 using nlite with all drivers & updates.......windows critical updates.....so that with one DVD I could install OS plus drivers on my machine acording to my needs. Hoping to hear from all of ya smart people, Regards!
