Gamehead200 Found the problem, just needed to install older version pp97. I'm thinking if the attachment was made in an earlier version it needs that version to open it. Sometimes we make things harder than they really are. Thanks again for help

Gamehead200 Sorry it took so long to get back, the error msg :this file does not have a program assoc with it for performing this action, pls install a program or if one is already installed create an assoc in the Default Prog control panel. At the top of this box it shows the path, D:\users\name\app data\local\microsoft\windows\temp internet files\content.ie5\24... Tried opening an attachment in Win Live Mail with no luck, dl'd Powerpoint viewer 2007 and installed, kept getting error msg ck file association, ck that and was ok, still no work any suggestions appreciated Thanks in advance

I don't know why your ranting about something Micrsoft was good enough to allow you to TEST and give feedback to the proper place. Beta always has a few bugs that's why people are testing it. It's a release canidate not the finished product.

Go get the latest Java VM and those secure sites will work.
