  1. Yep that's true. Up to now, the WindowBlinds guys have always created window decoration images with 100% dpi only and have not thought about the future with high-resolution monitors 💁‍♂️
  2. Great! I regularly check out WindowBlinds as well. However, what has kept me from using it is that it still doesn't support other monitor resolutions than 100% in the Windows Display settings without the window buttons etc. getting blurry (I use 200% scaling on my 4K monitors): 100% crop (pixel accurate): Here's another crop of what sharp 200% scaling should actually look like instead:
  3. I have tried Stardock Curtains from time to time in the past, but so far always failed because HiDPI resolutions were not supported. Does anyone know if this has changed in the meantime? My Windows DPI setting is at 200%.
  4. Hi all, I run a Windows 7 theme on a couple of Windows 10 machines. Some of them have Aero Glass installed as well, some don't (Aero Glass being broken at the moment anyway). Now, if I open Windows Explorer by Win+E (Explorer then opens normally), and then click on any drive or folder in Windows Explorer, it instantly crashes. However, when opening Windows Explorer in other ways and not showing "My PC" but another folder, Windows Explorer works perfectly and doesn't crash on any folder or drive. Thanks for any experiences or ideas, particularly if that could be caused by that Windows 7 theme?
  5. Hi sbkw, thanks for the instructions! BTW, which theme are you using as shown in your above screenshot?
  6. Exactly the same happened to me after KB4549951 installed itself last night :( Thanks @all for any updates or solutions!
  7. Yeah -- but I mean I had round corners on that sagorpirbd's "Aero 7" theme all the time before, but not this time, when I installed it on another PC. Why is that?
  8. That worked, thanks! How come that this is needed now? I used to have round corners for years without the need for a ThemeAtlas?
  9. OK thanks. Can you tell me what that "win7rp fix.png.layout" file is and where I put it (if needed)?
  10. Thanks. Do you mean this one? https://msfn.org/board/topic/170233-aero-glass-themeatlas/page/46/?tab=comments#comment-1176640 If yes, where do I put the "win7rp fix.png.layout" file?
  11. I also get only square corners (with sagorpirbd's "Aero 7", that is). The guide says nothing about round corners. What do I do to change from square to round corners on that theme? Thanks heaps
  12. O.k. yesterday evening when shutting down Windows several Windows updates were installed, see screenshot of the update history: I am currently on Windows 10 version 1809 build 17763.737. With AeroGlass I should have the latest version v1.5.12 -- just installed it again. However, since this morning, I get the message "Aero glass does not know how to hook your version of dwm (0x2000)": (Sorry for reporting it nonetheless In addition, the Windows window frames are completely transparent since this morning, as can be seen above. Can anyone make some sense of what is happening here or what the problem may be? Thank you -- PS: here is the content of my AeroGlass folder:
  13. First, I feel it's strange if a paying customer can't login after payment (i.e. can't get the product he paid for), and his polite support request is ignored afterwards, like with Matthias' request above. Second, same happened to me just now. After a considerable donation amount, I get the exact same e-mail saying "You can login by visiting the following link and entering your PayPal e-mail and the following password". But there is no "following password", anywhere. So how can I please get my copy of glass8?
  14. Thanks, that's interesting. What is that Winsxs folder used for anyway? If it's merely some sort of security backup, I'd move it to another hard drive using Junction Link Magic, and leave only some naked Windows system folders on the i-RAM system partition. Cheers, David.P
  15. Hi Forum, I'm curious about minimal size requirements of the system partition. I'm running XP from a SATA RAM installation (Gigabyte i-RAM, to be exact), and its 2GB size are plenty of room for XP. [XP installation took about 12 minutes, boot time now is exactly nine seconds (after P.O.S.T.), making a backup or restoring an image of the system drive takes exactly 15 seconds (because my data hard drive is so slow and the rest of the OS behaves, well, just like if everything always were kept in RAM (what it is ] Programs and Windows\Installer folder are on another hard drive of course. So, what is the least partition size that I could fit Vista into? Thanks, David.P
