okay now that i think about it.. i did not try an install with only wmp removed. it might be possible that the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack is installing WMP codec so that WMP11 installs. kell maybe u could try installing K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and than WMP11 see if it works. if this not works than this is a windows xp version issue as i stated before.

i can see your problem there. I have xp from 2002 and it works fine.

ok now im xonfused. DNS Client service is supposed to resolve dns. But every internet-app i use works without it. DNSClient service hasnt been active for like months and never had problems (i cant start it because i get access denied, i think the service login is screwed). I can still use MSN, firefox, ie, no problems

another idea: maps in the addons list - can select a whole map to add - maps shown in the list - order by maps reasons: - to many addons become an pain in the a** to maintain

as far as i know WMP11 can isntall with wmp removed... so idont know why it says you have the wrong os? (did u edit registery items regarding win ver?) also it might be a codec problem. as for to complicated this is not true. u can use a dependency walker to see what DLL's it needs and are missing.

yes while installing "components" and i believe the svcpack will install on first boot(maybe its a wise idea to put the non-silent installers here) or maybe im wrong... at least runonceex does

hi, i dint check the box disable hibernation, but there is no hibernation on by default either? can you possibly make it so if the box is not checked it enables hibernation.
