i have the same CPU and my temps are primarly around 39c on a full load and my motherbaord is around 27c. I would recommend letting that get any higher than 45-49. Thats not good at all. I would kill the heatsink that comes with it for better cooling. Heres a desktop screenie of what my temps are under full load.

guys please read my first post. I stated that hardware was the best but asked you all not to go off on that...this was strickly a software firewall disscussion. Thats all.

oh and nero says that avi are not supported....is there a way around this?

Call me dum but i just found out that nero converts this for you and then burns as a vcd. So i did it for one of my private movies. The sound is great but the picture is a little jagged. is there a codec or a add-on I should have for helping nero? Also when you select video cd theres another option for Super video cd....anyone know the difference in quility?

ok...for the last few days ive been reading your threads about your site. Now dont get me wrong were here to help but you cant have everything handed to you on a tray. Your question were answered but i think its time for you to learn a little on your own. We do not build sites for people and thats what your asking us to do. Its very simple and takes a few min to do. Spend some time playing with it.

btw this is a great tool and easy to use to edit the php files and add custime items in scripts. http://www.phpedit.com./ use that to edit the uploader file and add color and text and links. What ever you want

Its all in the license ... One PC, One OS! If it worked like you wanted it too, then you could install on all computers in the world and it would still be *legal* ... Cause where does *home* stop? at your front door? At your girlfriends front door?? At you frind's brother's girlfreind's mother's door? A while ago when XP first came out we had this topic. Since then alot of updates and new firewalls were released. I would like to know everyones views on what they use and think is the best one. Please state which ones you have used and the best out of them. We all know hardware firewalls are the best, this pertains to software only.

so that rises another concern....this stament is in some way or another communicating MS is recieveing info, thus making it a privacy problem.

well chrisas far as the activation is concerned, yes its a hugh pain in the "you know what" and i understand there steps in preventing the spread of the OS but the funny thing is it didnt stop anything. As i said those of us who did the right things and bought our copies of XP (BTW since you seem to have a inside scope I shall run off the topic and rant for a sec....my disk is for some reason unusable and I called the replacment line to order a replacment, for god sakes MS should lower if not only charge for the shipping. I mean I shelled out 300 bucks for my professinal version and they want another 30 bucks for a replacement and I have to wait 10 days...come on. Anyways back to what I was saying...) those of us who bought our copies get the raw end of the stick. I do however have to point out the flaws in a few things. You say you can only install one copy. Thats not true. Ive installed XP pro on all 3 of my machines at home. (tell MS to stop by Ill show them) I feel if its for personal use then you have the right. When you buy a product its yours , were not talking about renting from blockbusters. Altho theres rumors of this being intergrated in the next OS "renting". Now about IE...hmmmm, I guess the question should be what works right in IE. This board has been running for over a year and most admin if not all tested the beta from the begaining and everyone who has been apart of MSFN has in one way or another had problems with IE. Altho It my favorite browser it still has alot of bugs. We assist members weekly by figuring out what they are and trying to take steps around them. If you spend time and research post from over a year ago till now youll see the IE prblems have lowered but are still aparent. I would just hope in the end MS would overcome this "Im god" feeling that they carry and understand over 80% of user choose windows and by custimizing the OS to the user preference you will gain more customers in the end. If they cont. down the road there on they will only lose them.

dont want to use a program and you have XP...right click on icon, choose properties, choose customize tab, at bottom choose "change icon" and select the ones you want. If you want to use a icon app use the one sedative already told you about before you posted this thread, and now others told you to use. If you want to rename the icon do what MSNwar said.... right click on the icon, and choose rename. Thats it... thread closed

its not compatible, causes lock ups, eats resources, XP has roxio crap in XP already....just plain sucks. Stick with nero, youll be happier

i would have to disagree....My experiance is most use flashfxp. Its very simple but has everything you need for any type of file sharing you use. I choose as many others for a ftp server is bulletproof. Try it.

Paul is a very wise man, I had serveral chats with him back in the beta days of XP. If MS incorperated .net into items being used by a OS again they are trying to control the user. This will not be tolerated by the users nor the justice department. Myself...Im about 1 more OS from stepping away from MS if they cont down this road, iam sure alot are.

MS should understand that if a user buys a product they should be able to install it on any compauter they own. They need to understand that alot (especially on this board) have more than 2 computers. Also allow the user to run OS without the annoying items poping up all the time (error, activation,tour). We shouldnt have to wait several min on the phone to activate a copy of XP that we reinstalled on the same machine after a format. They need to clean there act up and when they sate something such as "you only have to activate your OS on one machine one time, unless you make 7 hardware changes"...which is so much bull. After several years of producing OS you think they would design a OS, test it for several months if not years and not rush to produce it and make money. every OS ever released from MS has been crap the first year it has come out. They need to take there time. One more thing, all the headaces they caused by trying to stop illegal copies of XP "warez" from spreading...well they ended up causing more headaces for us users who buy our copy and they did nothing to the warez community. MS has to understand if theres a software out there, IT WILL BE CRACKED. so give up and go back to the drawing table. Oh and for god sakes I wish they'd fix IE. By the way, why do you now have 2 names....Revolutionary and ChrisPS?
