  1. hi all: im running winxp x64 fully updated on this computer which i call "CPU-1" what i want to do is this: make a really lite version of winxp sp2 (32bit (with ie7 and wmp11 and new messenger if i can)) now i can do it from this machine (preferably as i have more then 100meg free of hard drive space) unlike the other box im making it for "CPU-2" = p4 2.8ghz (but only 256mb memory and a 2 gig hd) its running winxp sp2 (x86) but there isnt even a 100mb of free disk space and i havent updated anything cause there just isnt room.... is there anything i can get to make this process pretty simple to get it how i want basically that computer (CPU-2) is only used by my neice and all she does is watch movies, limewire and goto myspace.com oh and messenger id like to give her IE7, WMP11 and live messenger (like my machine) and what she wants mostly is speed when doing those things as of right now that computer is so slow you just wouldnt believe is there any precompiled settings i can use to make the selection of components already done? thanks
  2. hi everyone: i have a system that a p4 2.8ghz proc BUT it only has (256mb memory and a 2gig hard drive) now this system i connected to another pc on the network and both those pc`s connect to a dls modem/router set to DHCP. anyhow to make a long story short. my niece uses that computer and it is slowwww as heck she runs apps like limewire and also is at myspace all the time... im wondering if there is a pre configed config file that lets it be a multimedia networked pc (play movies, surf and those kind of things) note: with her limewire she saves the files to a networked hard drive. so that never takes up her space note that comp is running winxp sp2 fully updated thanks crap im not sure if i posted this in the right section... moderator could you please move it to where you think it best belongs? sorry
