I didn't have a key but have since donated and everything works great. With this, start8 with the win7 start button and xXiNightXx's Aero 8.1 theme, you'd never know you updated from win7!

Aero Glass RC1 worked for me on a fresh install of Win8.1 RTM. But the first time I went to Windows Update and installed updates and rebooted, it broke - dwmcore.pdb is mismatched and so was udwm.pdb. It only accepted dwm.pdb.

Will this new lite version still have com surrogate error in Vista? I know you can fix error by lowering merit value of all Nero codecs to 00200000 (do not use) using a directshow filter manager but I would like to know if this is fixed?

@ Dynaletik: I have 32-bit Vista. UAC is enabled and was for the lite 5.2.7.0 build. The nero lite installer was set to "Run this program as an administrator" but the actual nero burning rom app was not. I suppose another way of solving my problem would have been to set the nero burning rom app to "Run this program as an administrator"? BTW: I notice that Vista RC1 now auto-sets all installer .exes to "Run this prog as an admin" because I see the security shield icon overlaid on the .exe icon. It did not do this in earlier builds. Sorry if that's off-topic.

Hmm... nero lite 7.5.1.1 doesn't start in Vista RC1 and gives an error message about not being able to write to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom. I don't remember this happening with 7.2.7.0. Easily enough fixed though using the Permissions and Security Properties.
