Hi, I made a nLite XP w/ SP2 corp before. I was able to install it fine on a laptop that has a built in dvd burner. Tonight I tried to use the same CD on my microPC that has an external USB dvd burner. Everything seems fine until the GUI installation starts, where it prompted for the XP CD for "ASMS". The prompt was pre-filled with "cdrom\i386". So then I changed it to "e:\i386" and it went away until more prompts coming up asking for different files. I used the same "e:\i386". When the installation finished and booted into Windows, everything was not right (no Luna theme, only 3 or 4 services started, logged in as Administrator, etc.). It seems that a lot of files were missing. Is this a known problem with an external drive? I have searched various ASMS and missing files threads but none mentioned external drive. I ended up using an USB HD to install and it all went fine, but I prefer booting from the cdrom directly. Thanks.
