  1. ok finaly got it, all along i was draging on the edge of the taskbar, like in 9x/me(duh) blackwars video cleared it up, thanx. [/quote:873fd312c7]

Thats what Me and Drew were trying to explain in our earlier posts.I'm glad you finally got it sorted. :)

  2. Request(s):

AaronXP, maybe you would be kind enough to post the Name, Address, and Telephone of the company you use in the UK for our UK readers?

    MSNwar - The FatMan

Yeah i'd be interested in their name and telephone number as well AaronXP,especially as you live in the same part of England as me.(just noticed location on your avatar)

  3. I'd go for dual set up with WIFE 2.0 15 day shareware version and MISTRESS 2000.If WIFE 2.0 becomes unstable before the 15 day trial expires, remove it.This leaves room to install WIFE 3.0 when it is released later in the year.Although there is a leaked version available now which doesn't require activation.

You need to be aware that the program LADS NIGHT OUT 3.1 can use a lot of system resources, which may cause your RAM to malfunction and leave you with an unusable Floppy.

  4. I get the option to send error report to Microsoft, etc. If I send the error report, all IE windows then close. If I just let the Send Error Report option sit there - IE just keeps on working[/quote:1e82e7c1ea]

Yeah i noticed that the other day.All i do is open Task manager and click on End Task for error report and IE stays on.Weird.

  5. I can recommend Taisol heatsinks and fans.

If you get a heatsink that has thermal compound already stuck on wipe that cheap s*** off with an alcohol based cleaner, and replace with something like Arctic silver.

If you've got room in the case,a couple of 80mm case fans will also help with the cooling. One in the front pulling cold air in,and one in the back blowing out.

Sunon,Evercool or Delta do a good range of fans,Although as XPerties mentioned some people find the Delta's a bit loud.

  6. [b:f135aeab0c]owain[/b:f135aeab0c] Could possibly be one of the following.

1:)It may be a RAM problem.Does your error occur following a cold boot or from a restart.

During the shutdown process the RAM returns system files back to the hard drive,so that they are accessible when you cold boot.

If the RAM is faulty it doesn't return the files, therefore when you power on config can't find the boot files.

2:)What motherboard do you have? Is it an Abit?

Some people have had trouble with certain Abit boards shutting down too quick, which in turn prevents the RAM from returning the system files back to the hard drive (similar to above)

Can you list your system specs.
