easy u install the registry key during t-13 so will be applied to all users and even news ones. simple

download the trial version from ulead using winrar extract the contents of the downloaded setup file. setup.exe -R go to windows search for setup.iss copy that file to the folder where u extracted the setup files. to silently install use this method setup.exe -s if u happen to hv the retail version here is where the key is stored [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Ulead GIF Animator\5.05\installer] "Serial Number"="1234556-00000-0000000" setup.iss

winrar can extract 7zip right but can it compress to 7z

All i know is that it works for a lot of people. why dont u make a guide so we can checkout what u did. do hv u installed it with using the registry key? hehehheeheh just how many machines have u test your method on?

here is the solution cartoon buddy use an autoit that nologic made for me. u can do regtweak then sfx and sfx and sfx etc or u can do sfx and sfx and sfx and regtweak. the only reason i needed to do this is bec. of wpi. it doesn't hv enough command lines to work with. then u wrap everything into a winrar sfx and use autoit.exe to launch the installation.

isn't their a command to uninstall outlook express? there should be if u go to add/remove programs there is an option to remove o.e. and windows media player. i just know the command

thanks dahi what is your version of wpi? 2.98a? another question i would like to ask is why does wpi use \\ (double slash) instead of \. does it have to do that it is a xml?

Cuteftp is an installshield I tried the -R and got a setup.iss but it doesn't work. humm...

i am not going to make a guide. there is to many **** bugs. But still i like it. should prove useful. hopefully we can get the categories sorted and remove the need for case sensative text. and one other thing!!! when i put descriptions on my program that i will install. guess what u can use ' like in aren't or won't it craps it and u can't use WITH or with.

i did that last nite bec. of the **** bug with wpi all u need to do is this winrar sfx your reg key and use this as the comment change the winrar_settings.reg to your own file name. now if u want to install several reg keys using sfx. Nologic has made an autoit. if u dont knw autoit. u can look at the sticky thread. if u dont know how to use Winrar. in my sig is a link to a page i made detailing on how to make a winrar sfx (with pretty pictures)
