dude i know how to use CMDOW what i want is a totally silent install. no dialog box i think autoit or a msi. totoymola and i have been at this for 6 hours and we cant get it. the setup.exe is 8 mb when u extract it using wirnar it is only 5 mb does that make sense to u? heheheheh

so u mean to say if i have a mp3 file i can name it mp3.dat and it will work? i dont think so. or if i hv a winrar sfx winrar.dat it will autoextract and install my prog? i dont think so.

sorry i went there about 4 hours ago. and i can find anything to open the dat file. nor does it explain how to create or open an dat file.

yes they install manually if i go to the cmd and type regedit /s yahoo.reg but when i use wpi it doesn't what gives.

thanks dog... (like black people says it) Want is to sort those categories... can u check my work pls notice i dont have any reg keys bec. they dont register using the 2.98a version i downloaded I removed the attached wpi bec. it contained so many bugs.

nologic would it be possible to modify the script that u gave me to ... 1. Install SFX (silent installer) wait till it finishes then 2. Instal SFX (silent installer 2) wait till it finishes 3. Install Reg key i notice sometimes it is too fast that my second sfx is already running with the first sfx finishing.

why don u say u put the reg key into the registry tweak during t-13 up to u what u want to do all i know is that i works for me regardless of the user. later

Can someone explain what is a dat file. I got a sfx file with a dat inside that automatically does the setup of a program. how does this work?
