does anyone know what services are required for network descovery to work? i am trying to enable network descovery but if i click "on", then it will just go to "off".

There should be an arrow on the right side with options to turn it on/off. Make your selection and apply. If the oprions are not enebled, open the Windows firewall and enable it there.

did you read my post? i tried that... there must be a service that was disabled that wouldnt allow me to do this.

i reinstalled vista anyways, i thought that it was about time to do it, i had so much junk in there. i also got rid of my dual boot w/ xp.
