Please help showing Microsoft Kernel synthesizer in MIDI devices

Because it sounds much better than the Microsoft wavetable synthesizer (whitch supports only DLS1)

The Kernel synthesizer supports DLS2 and it would be great to have it listed in the Midi Devices.

right now, the only access to it, is through the DXDIAG -> Music -> Test.

or through programming directmusic.

Hope someone knows how.

some audio devices especially the one I'm using don't use the Microsoft Kernel synthesizer nor they support it.

I wanted to use it with a midi player like VanBasco.

If I remember well, I think that Winamp 2.9x did have access to the Kernel synth,

through the midi settings it even gave the possibility to load a custom DLS.

It might be be just a way to register the driver.

But I don't know how to do it.
