Hi guys,

I am getting a big pause/stutter in games every 10 minutes or so. And I want to try and clear it up before i vlite again.

Event log says - error id 1050, source LSM -

Registering with Service Control Manager to monitor Terminal Service status failed with The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

, retry in ten minute.

Can anyone figure what needs to be left in vista to prevent this happening please?

I have searched and somebody suggested leaving in speech support but they were not sure.

I think this is due to the Remote Desktop removal.

And the reg entry for that call couldn't be found. I hope it's not hard-coded in some service.

But are you sure about that stutter being only because of this, this shouldn't be that hard on the cpu?

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

No i am not positive that this is causing the pause/stutter in games but it seems to be every 10 minutes (im going to time it!)

You mention remote desktop but i am sure i have removed that on previous installs on the same hardware but no game stutter. Also this is on a dual core 4400+ so you think the 1050 error would not tie me up?

I am going to try different drivers etc, if i fix the stutter i'll post back to clear it up.
