Woomera Posted May 30, 2007 Share Posted May 30, 2007 i got the snort and read the manual and then downloaded 2 rule sets from their website.one is the community made one that is open for public and the SNAPSHOT one is avliable to registered users.the community one doesnt have any CONF file to set in snort so i dont know whats the use of it but the second file have a snort.conf in it but when i put it in snort for use i get an error:I use vista if it helps anyhow.
