reboot loop in windows xp install

Hello all,

I tried to search for this in the forums but to no avail. What is happening is I get through the partition portion of the windows xp pro (SP2) install and then it reboots the pc automatically. Since my cd is still in the drive, it reboots the pc and goes back into the "Setup is inspecting hardware configuraiton" where it loads all the setup files and asks me to partition/format once again. Is there any configuration portion i can do to avoid it going back into the first step in the process? It should copy all setup files to the HD (after partioning), reboot , and then go to the xp installation phase but i am not sure why it is not doing so. Thanks for any help you can give!

Since my cd is still in the drive, it reboots the pc.

At that point, you should set the PC (option to be found in BIOS, interrupting normal startup) to boot from Hard Disk Drive.

An other way is to set it to boot from HDD and use the "F12 boot choice" to boot from CD only the 1st time. Don't hesitate to ask for more info.

It's because of the selected option to remove "press any key prompt" on the Options page.
