Good free Web Hosting sites

i am now trying Brinkster but apparently, only the paid accounts have an FTP to easily upload files from Dreamweaver so i thought if there are any other better ones. for ASP or PHP since i am learning them... soon now i am doing CSS sites hope to improve my Flash too

well I use 110mb.com, if offers free hosting with ftp and php/mysql support.

but I guess its so popular that they only let people sign up at random times....

I've recently found fateback to be a pretty good free host. Each page carries an advert but it is only an unobtrusive strip as the top. The only minus is that the FTP is pretty naff and needs a little persistence.

Also, the name 'fateback' does not carry adverse connotation. I've found that most free hosts push the fact that they're free by using the word 'free' as part of their domain name!
