Monitor Drivers Installation

Featured Replies

I have a 15" Dell TFT on one of my systems here, and had grabbed the appropriate files from the driver CD that came with it, and placed it in $OEM$\$1\drivers\dell

However the drivers weren't installed (yet my modem and video card was). Is it not possible to have the monitor drivers installed?

OEMPREINSTALL == Yes

Any thoughts?

did you try installing manually

I'm sure it gives an error. because of dell monitors not bc of you :)

As far as I could tell, there were no errors (I haven't had the chance to check the log files). And when installing the drivers afterwards, they worked fine.

It's likely Windows Setup tried to install your monitor drivers before the graphics card drivers had a chance to get installed. It has to be done the other way round.

You can number your drivers folder like so: ="drivers\000_chipset;drivers\001_gfx;drivers\002_monitor"

which will tell windows to install in that order of the number sequence.
