Mymrik Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Hi, All!Prompt, please, how to do better:1) file qfecheck.exeBetter this file to place in HFEXPERT\WIN\System32 file or sleepstreaming Q282784_W2K_spl_X86_EN.exe2) file msxml6sp1-KB934268-enu-x86.exegiven file needed to place in file HF or in HFSVCPACK_SWBeforehand grateful.
Tomcat76 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 1)Q282784_W2K_spl_X86_EN.exe is not supported by HFSLIP. You should use Q282784_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe (even for Windows 2000) as explained here.I suppose putting qfecheck.exe in HFEXPERT\WIN\SYSTEM32 will work but I haven't tested that. The only difference is that placing Q282784_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe in HF copies over the security catalog file as well, and adds a few lines into the registry affirming that it has been installed.2)I need to see what's inside msxml6sp1-KB934268-enu-x86.exe before I can say if it's supported or not. If it contains a file called msxml*.msi then it will work.
Mymrik Posted May 7, 2007 Author Posted May 7, 2007 1) tnkx2) In file msxml6sp1-KB934268-enu-x86.exe inhere 2 files: "_sfx_manifest_" and "msxml6.msi"Needed unpack file msxml6.msi or will sufficiently place file msxml6sp1-KB934268-enu-x86.exe in folder HF?
Tomcat76 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 What a scam... That file is not an update. It contains the original msxml6_x86.msi which can be downloaded separately from here.HFSLIP supports either the exe or the msi -- your pick. With the exe it's slower because one more extraction needs to take place, but we're talking milliseconds.
