i have a problem ... please help ...

goal:

Unattended XP SP2 with:

- RyanVM's Windows XP Post-SP2 Update Pack with RyanVM`s addons like DX9 , wmp10,IE7 and more...

- Bâshrat the Sneaky's DriverPacks (awesome stuff)

- Bunch of self install applications using WPI (I love WPI)

- Some cosmetics (custom : oemlogo,oeminfo,WINNTBBU,themes,Screensavers,wallpapers)

- nLite optimized & tweaked install ()

problem:

after putting everything together my .iso does not work properly.

separately no problems everything works 100%

guide i used to create my iso :

http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/

my workflow (flawed) :realmad: :

01:create .iso of vanilla WinXP SP2 (so i do not have to copy it from cd all the time)

02:create source folder where WinXP SP2 is extracted using UltraISO

03:run RyanVM Integrator link

install WPI from menu and activate it (per instructions) and add RyanVM's Windows XP Post-SP2 Update Pack and addons and some themes and push button integrate after some tome everything done...

04:slipstream Bâshrat the Sneaky's DriverPacks using DriverPacks BASE everything sims to be ok

05:run nLite v1.3 FINAL, load my SOURCE XP (in previous steps modified), not removing anything adding my setings & tweaks.... (before creating iso - add mu $OEM$ , oemlogo, oeminfo,WINNTBBU , WPI applications setups) then build iso...

06:testing using Ms Virtual PC 2007

detailed description of my problem:

[OK] Drivers seems to be present & copied to HDD

[OK] RyanVM's Windows XP Post-SP2 Update Pack & addons -All Working

[OK] Themes, screensavers and other $OEM$ ok , WINNTBBU ok

[OK] ---EMPTY for future comment---

[NotOK] OOBE was disabled in nLite but after install it asks for stuff

[NotOK] WPI dows not come up (if started from desktop can not find WPI.HTA)

[NotOK] nLite Tweaks not present (for example- security center not disbled)

[NotOK]---EMPTY for future comment---

so it seams i got few smaller problems

nLite is confused with non clean SOURCE (driver packs, addons, and more)

RyanVM Integrator does not work easy with wpi

also i tried different workflow (drivers first than ryen stuff then nlite with simmilar result, except after winxp install finishes i could manually start wpi.hta and wpi with installs did work) but somethings did not work. posting my nLite settings pics.

small rant

There is a plenty great guides & tutorials for nLite, wpi, RyanVM Integrator but no guide i could find for integrating ALL OF this stuff on one CD/DVD, and i hyave seen WinXP installs that includes all of the above and they do work . i just can not find out how to do it myself... /rant off ufff... i feel a lil better now :)

any help is greatly appreciated

Try this order:

RVM Integrator w/WPI (for updates/addons)

nLite (for removals/unattended tweaks)

BTS driverpacks (ALWAYS last)

Create ISO & test in virtual.

BTS driverpacks are ALWAYS integrated last (just before creating ISO).

That worked well, except WPI wont start ...

i am posting how my root looks

rootofmydvdtk8.png

at this moment i just added

cmdlines.txt

royale.exe

RunWPI.cmd

to my $OEM$

and i added

WPI.ICO

to the root of dvd

cmdlines.txt looks like this:

[COMMANDS]

Royale.exe

RunWPI.cmd

i`ll rebuild iso & test it... thanks for your help & reply :hello:
