I wish to make it so that the keyboard and mouse are locked while the people logoff, when they logoff a backup batch files is run, does anyone know how to do this

couldnt you just have a shortcut called logoff. but what this rly does it shortcuts to a batch file which runs whatever, then after all that is done, it runs the MS logoff command? and you can just disable the logoff button in the start menu.

thats a decent idea but i have suspicions that when my brother will go to logoff, he will abort the batch file, I need to know how to disable the keyboard

I'm sure it must be my lack of understanding of what you're trying to achieve, but if you disable the keyboard and mouse how are you able to log back on!

i now understand what he wants. he wants for a batch file to pop up, then for the mouse/keyboard to disable so that no one can exit the batch file, then the code runs, the the mouse and keyboard come back on, then it logs off.

nmedovich- what OS are you using? xp cant disable the mouse or keyboard, 2000 might, and the earlier versions can.
