Service for Internet Connection

What service do I need to have a working internet connection on my system. I would like to disable every other service as I don't have a purpose for the computer, except to have an internet connection for it. I disabled all the services, then enabled one by one, but I couldn't find it lol. So here I am. Thanks

I would like to know this as well, because I turned almost everything off except for a few vital components in my Win XP Pro and then when I used it on VMWare, I could not access the internet.

What components do I need to access the net?

Edit: Figured it out, uncheck "Terminal Services" and the Internet should work!
