Forgott3n
I noticed that the XPize boot screen masks any going-ons once windows begins loading. For example, dialogs requiring user input, scandisk, and any important information.I wish to know how to remove the boot screen.Thank you!
ChrisKuhli
The Bootscreen used by XPize is applied by changing C:\boot.ini: The line which points to your Windows-Installation.Following option disables the standard bootscreen: /NOGUIBOOT The Option /BOOTLOGO stands for that a logo is displayed...both together will force loading c:\windows\boot.bmp instead of the normal logo at boot. Try to open that file in Paint(.net)!
zedox
changing the actual bitmap will not bring the progress bar back...Just run the XPize uninstaller and select to uninstall boot screen.
ChrisKuhli
By changing the Bitmap you get the changed one... Or, rename C:\Windows\boot.bmp to another name, but NOT C:\Windows\winnt32.bmp! Edited April 24, 2007 by ChrisKuhli
