Merging Docs In Word - Can You?

I'm doing an assignment for my course, and using Word, but I've started individual sections in different docs (probably a hari kari mission i know), I was wondering is there anyway to merge the documents together, rather than having to copy and paste and reformat sections?

Right, i think in the insert tab, there is an option to insert file, if it does in properly it should import the content as it is! Not sure never used the feature but i know its there, i cant explain too much im not at my pc
