hmachan Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 (edited) Windows XP.I recently ran security updates from a microsoft site.... afterwards, i can no longer download anything from the internet... not even from microsoft site when i tried to download DirectX update released April 2007.... I checked my security settings but they look just fine. Im using IE6.Please help out... i dont know where to start to fix it.... thanks Edited April 14, 2007 by hmachan

jcarle Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Try installing Firefox and see if it acts normal, if it does, chances are your Internet Explorer installation is fried.
hmachan Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 thank you guys.... figured out the solution... clicked to enable all Microsoft VM boxes under Advanced Internet options...I just dont know consequence of doing such to security vs malicious programs... please comment thanks.
