New Found Hardware: ETHERNET CONTROLLER

Hello,

Issue 1:-

Everytime I restart windows I get the "New Found Hardware..." Ethernet Controller.

Device manager displays the Ethernet controller with a yellow ? and a yellow !.

I downloaded and ran the ethernet drivers from driverguide.com. The cmd prompt displays

NO ethernet adapter found or NO PIC slot found.

I tried uninstalling the ethernet controller from device manager and then restart PC, but i get the same popup "found new hardware..." when the PC starts

Issue 2:-

Sometimes, the ethernet contoller is present but Network Connections shows "Local Area Connection 4".

When you go to device manager->show hidden devices, I can see three ghost Ethernet adapters.

I have to remove the ghost ethernet adapters as there is no IP address, gateway... etc

available in Local Area Connection 4 and when i try to add the information a window pops up saying

"The IP address already exist, there will be a conflict blah, blah.."

Can someone please advice??

Perhaps it's the onboard one enabled in the BIOS? You can also right-click on it in Device Manager, click Properties, go to the Details tab and select Hardware ID from the drop-down menu. Copy and paste that into Google and see what device shows up.
