You are absolutely right on that, BenoitRen. My brother got an HP Pavilion computer with pre-installed WinME back in high school when he joined a computer club (now I own his HP computer and still using WinME; still worked great with very few crashes).

usually, computers that bundled WinME back in late 2000 or early 2001 work well.

installing the WinME upgrade on an older machine made earlier than 2000, that might be a different story
