woodpusher
Hi,it annoys me that IE 5.5 often shows up the attached window when visiting flash based sites. Most of them display fine with Flash 7 and I don't want to update.I disabled "Install On Demand" in IE's settings but it didn't help.Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! nitroshift
What's wrong with updating to Flash Player 9? I'm currently running it without any issues at all.
cluberti
Unless Adobe puts out a "flash installer blocker", there is no way to block it without blocking activex controls entirely. That's how those prompts work - the activex control goes to load, and prompts you to upgrade because it's built-into the control.
RJARRRPCGP
With Internet Explorer 6, it's even worse, it will go ahead to install Flash without permission and thus with 56k, it makes me wait virtually forever! It punishes me for not having Flash, just because of an ad on the web page! Edited April 6, 2007 by RJARRRPCGP
