Anti-social Vista!

Featured Replies

Ok, so I just got on the ol' vlite bandwagon and as much as I hate to say it (being a previously devout mac fan), I'm starting to warm to windows!!!!! I'm running home premium and my only gripe is that I can't get vista to access my mac's HD. I know there's some problems with file sharing and solutions posted on the net, but they're not working for me. I think it's because I've omitted something important in the build which is preventing me from accessing the 'group policy object editor' - I've ran a search for 'gpedit.msc' and it doesn't seem to exist. Would any of you clever people know which part of the OS I deleted to cause this problem, or if this is actually the cause? Btw, I've already tried changing the 'LmCompatibilityLevel' from 3 to 1 and no joy :(

Thanks in advance,

GD.
